Minecraft servers are glitchy at best, moving worlds around wouldn't solve the problem I think. There will simply be new broken chunks everywhere.

You could still add/let me add a stronghold back in though so we can at least raid an enderdragon together...

Oh and if you let me do it, I have a cunning plan. If it'll work. :)

EDIT: Also is it me or is the server down?

The server is working completely fine for me.

It did have a server reboot about 30 minutes ago but it should be back up and running.

BTW I uhm... Screwed up a little. I placed some portal blocks in the ender man's eyes by being a cheating scumbag - It wasn't meant as a permanent thing, I wanted to see if it'd work. Which it did to a degree.

Then I put a sign on the inside of his head, between his eyes, to say what I did. For some reason that turned his head into a stargate. I've no idea why. :S

Edit: Oh I see what happened. Behind his eye is a set of obsidian blocks in the exact shape of a regular portal (the original one that came with the mod, not the circle one we use). I have to look into some permissions to fix it, apparently I don't have the permissions in Ma'spa to destroy stargates. I'll do that tommorow.

Thank you for asking permission before putting a stargate in the head of my creation. I'm sure you'd appreciate it if I had a great idea for an engine and built it in Rupture Farms. :|

Update 1.1 is out. Server needs a update of course :D

So Minecraft 1.1 has been released and I'll update the server as soon as I can. In the mean time I'd like to throw something out there.

I've been having a little less time recently to monitor the server. And while it hasn't crashed in a while, issues do keep popping up that I don't really have time (or desire) to fix on a short term basis. So ideally I'd like someone who knows what they're doing to help me administrate the server. This would mean access to the FTP server and the monitoring software. With that someone other than me is able to fix small issues and try stuff out.

Personally I was thinking of Darkhoodness since he seems to know his way around the inner workings of Minecraft a fair bit, but if someone else wants to apply for the job be my guest.

If Dripik doesn't want his old job back, I have some experience of using an FTP client - I'm sure I can figure out how it all works.

I'll also be continuing with the RF project on the server, and am planning another project after that one if interest in Minecraft keeps up, so I'll be keeping an eye on it on a regular basis for at least the next 2 or 3 months.

I have no objection for you being admin, DH, considering you have the experience for it.

EDIT: Also a pointer for you: as an un-spoken rule (this applies to any artwork as well) it's best to only show stuff that you've put a bit of effort into. People don't like it when you post mundane stuff that you threw together in about 10 minutes.

Yes I am aware of that, but do you also watch other Machinima? I like ones based on Half-Life as such and Red vs Blue (Halo based), Currently they have Minecraft in there as well.

I don't watch Machinima because there content is awful. Apart from Freeman's Mind. Which I don't even consider it being part of Machinima.

Yeah, Freeman's Mind is awesome I also like Civil Protection (although takes longer to produce) and Arby 'n' The Chief. I also watch Rooster Teeth's Achievement Hunter series Rage Quit based on Michael playing a series of games and raging the shit out of it.

Havoc, any news on the server being updated to 1.1?

Not updated yet - I've still retained my 1.0 .jar file so I can still get on.

Today I've started converting the RF filmset into a fully-fledged adventure map. I'll make two versions - I'll do one re-setable bare-bones version for the server, and when I'm done with the layout and puzzles I'll be taking it offline to make a beefed-up, polished, distributable download version using MC edit.

I've made a backup of the filmset version as it stands now, will also distribute that later.

Of course I may take it offline and use MC edit half-way through anyway depending on how things go, but I'll get as much of it as I can done on the server and make it as finished as I can... Provided interest in Minecraft continues and I don't constantly find myself on my own on the server for a long time.

I tried to use MCEdit on 2Fort but it was really hard to work with. I'm pretty much given up on 2Fort now anyway.
