Because it looks much neater than having 31 extra icons cluttering up my screen, including a folder that has unused desktop icons.

I having a clear out of my hard-drive later on so I might say goodbye to most if not all of them.

It's Windows 7 with a different shell installed, I prefer it, and I chose to keep the old icons because I like them more. :happy:

P.S. DOS 6 came out after Windows 1.

To me it doesn't seem ugly, I actually like it like that. Although, I'll probably end up changing the wallpaper sometime, it just doesn't seem like it fits.

I don't get when people make newer operating systems look really basic. It would just irritate me!

People should feel lucky that they can customise the look of their operating system...

Underneath that shell I have a different desktop, they're equal in my opinion. By the way the background image is from the 5th version of 2Advanced's website, it's damn good. :D
