strange dd-cheat scrab glitch
 

right,i was playing ao with the dd-cheat and entered the first secret screen of the stockyards(the one with the scrab and two modukons).as soon as i got teleported there i pressed tab for the cheat and flyed tho the upper platform with the two muds.i got one to follow me and resued him but noticed there was no scrab.i could hear it,but not see it.then i went back and got the other mud to follow me.when i got him to the portal,the birds flew away and the mud ran to the other screen and dissapeared.
also after i left the area and went back to the other scrab areas,they did not attack me,just howled as if i was dead.
any explenations?

If you have got a screenshot, you can attach it. Edit the topic, and click on the button Manage Attachments: will appear a new window, upload the image from your PC and then close the window. Then you can save the changes.

Did The Paramite react to abe in the info screen?:fuzconf:

Actually, he got away from me, and when I tried to get near to it, it ate me :D
(he did what every normal Paramite do)

Also, you could use this cheat to skip the stages ;)
hold shift and press
Left, Right, Up, Down, Left, Right

thanks for that info,but i seem to have accidently deleted the image.dam.ill see if i can try and do it again.

Sounds awesome and all, but cheats eliminate the "thrill" of completing a game. :fuzsad:
But if I had this on PC, then I'd definitely give it a try! :D

Sounds great, shame I don't have Exodus, I'm going to get it one day, or try some more, lol.
On a side note, I should stop posting, I've covered every section I can, and am on all of the most recent posts, woops :(. lol.

WOAH! This DDcheat thing is serioulsy cool :D I have expiremented alot with it but i am sure there is a few things I haven't checked. I wish i could find them. By the way GREAT screenshots:D

i had the same problem finding how to use it.if i remember rightly,you open the file so that pic opens and you just let it the pic stay opened and run the game.then then it will work.

Thank you for your help. ; ) The most functions are fine. Sometimes the game crashed down when I used some rings in specialy districts but the rest works realy good. ^^

Ugh, I'm sorry for reviving this but I have trouble making -ddcheat work, and I don't think I should make another topic for it...

I followed the instructions on the first page where I put "-ddcheat" after all the letters and stuff in the Target box. I get this error message saying that the path isn't valid or something and to see if it is correct. Any help here?

EDIT: Nevermind I got it to work! :D Time for some funz.

There has got to be more to ddcheat other than that frame buffer, and stretch, and of course the noclip mode, there has to be more hotkeys, or another code like -dddebug, although im not sure, but there is definetly more to ddcheat than those.

lol doesnt work. anyways at the 1st door of the place with scrabs, and when i go to the secret area, just to kill the fleeches, i was thinking "i want the scrab to pull the lever :D"...but den when i put it near the lever, IT JUST WENT FLYING STRAIGHT UP AND THEN CRASHED O_O

yeah there is save screenshot, and some sort of menu to load Test Level and a few other bits n bobs, no idea how to activate the menu though, and there is also pressing ctrl to view the AI states

edit: oh and some way to make it ask you what file to load if it can't find it in the lvl file

Yeah, i realised that too, if would be good if you edit their brainstate to make them fall asleep :)

i was wondering if anyone knows the maximum amount of muds you can kill in ae,while using the ddcheat,as i want to give it a try.

Infinite. Using the noclip mode, you can bypass the electric wall guarding the FeeCo Executive Office and repeat that section as many times as you want, and there’ll always be 10 Muds at the end that you can kill.

I imagine it will take you some time to give that a go. :p

But you can use the "next path" thing to skip back real fast, using shift + up down left right, up down left right

though, it will screw up your mudokon process. so i suggest not to do that =O

Does the -ddcheat work on demo version?

Yes it does but I'm not sure about the Abe's Oddysee demo, only the Abe's Exoddus one.

Yes, i tried, but you must type " -cheat" on abe's exoddus,
about oddysee, it works.

What all can you do with this cheat code? Can you move Sligs, Slogs, Scrabs, Glukkons, and Paramites?

Search the thread; the answers are already within. You can move Sligs and Scrabs, but not Paramites or Glukkons. You can’t possess Slogs, so no hope of noclipping them around.

also, i found another glitch, but it also requires the Trainer.

when you chant and save a mudokon, before the mudokon goes to the portal and while you are chanting, press f7, and when you rescue teh mudokon, the red ring will be activated.

You can kill all the mudokens in AE if you have ddcheat on ;)

And still finish the game?

The point was that you need to free at least a few muds to go trough some otherwise closed doors

But can't you go through the doors with that cheat aswell?

yea with ddcheat on you can go anywere and kill all the muds as u can go through floors :)

oh and abought that just turn ddcheat off then walk through the door then when u enter next place turn it back on!

And also you still wouldn't be able to kill every single mudokon, because as Xavier said, you need them to go through doors, you can't just -ddcheat through the entirety of the game.

Well I suppose you could just make up for it using the Feeco Office Thing, thus saving you having to kill the lot of them with it.

You don’t need to download anything, you do the shortcut thing. If it doesn’t work, you’re not doing it right. Follow the instructions more carefully. Try mine.

dose this method work for exoddus on pc? if not tell the method for exoddus
