I don't really care where the DVD is coming from, as long as it's on english, and a PAL version. is there such a thing? If there is, will they send it to other countries? Ebay. And to clarify my colleagues' previous posts: DVDs are not NTSC/PAL. They're the same all over the world, but of course some have region encoding to stop you playing a Yugoslavian DVD in Tonga. But this DVD seems to be region free so it will work on any DVD player. Any talk of Xbox's is just confusing the issue as it's a DVD and not a game.

A minor question, but how do the guns in Stranger's Wrath work? In the opening cinematic, Stranger puts the broken rifle near his nose and inhales, and a creepy vapor rises from it. They're obviously not slugslingers, so I suppose they fire an energy doober. Or something. It's not a big deal really, but I'm the kind of person who wonders about stuff like that.

Guns certainly don't shoot energy. I originally thought they did because you see red beams, but all ammo remains in the environment and embedded in the models. Some guns shoot arrows, some shoot dart like things and some shoot even smaller objects which are most likely simply bullets.

They control the money, the destructon of the wilderness and wildlife takes place so that the glukkons can provide for their needs and wants, thus earning the glukkons money and sparking the whole industrialist/natives thing. The khanzumers want, the glukkons provide and everyone else has to join in, move over or get mown down. Makes you feel guity doesn't it? |

"Outlawz" isnt a species name, its the name that refers to that type of person, e.g. outlaws.
I want to know the name of his Species, like mudokkons or gabbits, it cant be "Outlawz" because all the different out laws are totally different creatures and species, some are the same like Flint Blisterz and Boilz. |

Nothing is known about the Khanzumerz, except that they're the most valuable creatures on Oddworld if you're an Industrialist looking to make Moolah. They've also been described as the only truely evil creatures on Oddworld - makes you wonder what the empathy behind the Oktigi is. Blisterz Booty's gun is called a rifle. Technically that means it has a long barrel and has spiralled grooves inside to make the ammunition spin and travel faster and further, so it's clearly not an energy weapon. :

And that the species name is Outlaws i also do not believe. Blisterz Booty does not look like Caste Raider whom does not look like the mortar enemies who dont look like the knife throwing enemies who do not look like wolvarks who do not look like....and so on. They cannot be the same species just by looking at them, they are all completely different, i can understand them coming from the same family of species (e.g. reptiles) but not all the exact same species. |
Like I say, the squat Meagly has a horned son, Tiny. The horned Jo' Mamma also has many squat sons of the shooter and other varieties (I forget which, exactly). To say all the Outlaw types are different species would involve ignoring family trees layed out within the game itself.
Outlaws also don't look like Wolvarks because they're different species. Only the three Outlaws I previously identified look like Wolvarks, but again, they're not. It's also not entirely unreasonable that OWI wanted to introduce more variety to the species they produce. Wasn't it the fans who were complaining so many of the characters looked exactly the same? Here they're simply adding some variety. If you don't want to believe what I'm saying, then … well, there's nothing I can do about that. |
