So do you think we're getting a more or less new Abe game with familiar settings? Or just more depth and a change in the storytelling?

I think we're mostly going to be getting more depth and change in storytelling. But then again, there's nothing to really base this off of except for some vague hints that OWI dropped about the game, so who really knows. I'd just be a little surprised if it was almost an entirely new game - not surprised in a bad way, mind you, but surprised regardless.

Either way, I think I'd be pretty happy.

Personally, I'm hoping we get an expanded version of the original Exoddus story. I don't want to see a ton of retconning (especially if it makes the ending of NnT make no sense as a result), but I am looking forward to seeing what Lanning's "original" vision of the story was.

So long as they don't try to be ridiculously edgy and grim (which you just can't do with a cast as cartoony as the Oddworld characters) and keep that nice touch of dark humor, and keep Abe as an endearing dumbass, I'll be happy.

I think they’ll be fine-tuning the gameplay we’ve seen in the original AE and in NnT, and throwing a couple of new mechanics in as they go. Maybe some more Brew powers, maybe they’ll expand on the healing ability Abe gets from the Weirdos.

Anyway, If we get to see this new Abe design, what are the odds (lol) of them changing up the Scrab and Paramite designs too? I want them to be scary!

It is a shame that JAW isn't involved, but at least Soulstorm will hopefully not be as cartoony.. With no disrespect at all. They did a great job on New n Tasty, but it looks like they are getting serious with Oddworld Inhabitants now.
