I find this thread highly embarrassing. I don't want JAW to see this.

Meh, Stew told me he used to be (or still is?) moderator of a fan forum. He knows exactly what's going on there when you have passionate people with different opinions.
|
As a graphic designer i'm a sucker for their webpage so i've been sifting through it and looky here! another screen shot (that i dont think has been posted yet)
Looking pretty good here. The pully elevators must be in. Also, call me crazy, but I honestly think JAW have already started on AE. Well, they obviously would have. But I mean, out of all the times i've seen this CGI, this next screen looks way to spiffy and sharp. calling it. AO and AE will be released almost at the same time lol. Also, the plants look great. 10/10 would eat the honey that slops out of the hive there. I wonder if the bees will be regular bees or sting bees from stranger... hm. |

Going back on the topic: you guys need to look at it the way this situation really is and cut the drama. A few guys have given some opinions of things they thought could be changed, other came and disagreed and then for some reason this whole thing blew out of proportion. I seriously fail to understand why if someone gives his opinion and says that he does not like the way the Mudokon foot goes trough the ground we need to call him overly critic and dismiss his argument. Yeah some comments floating around here can be filed as "nitpicking", so what? That does not mean the observation should be silenced. Like I already stated, both praise and constructive criticism are good for JAW at the moment. So, as a moderator I am going to ask everyone to calm the fuck down. The next poster better be careful and remember that here everyone is entitled to have his own opinion. Oh, and V_O_T, if you think that's exciting you are going to have a huge surprise in the coming days. |
Some of those Paramonian renders remind me of Riven.

But you are right, if we are going to give criticism, it should be constructive and respectable. If being respectable is a thing here lol. also, @CrashPunk, thanks for clearing that up for me. |

...is the sky supposed to look like this?
|
:
Consider yourself warned. |
The sky in that Paramonia shot would probably work better if it were flat blue.
E- Actually, it works if it's meant to be overcast and/or rainy, come to think of it. |
I'm not going to be that insulting as Nepsotic, though I admit, I agree with him, I think it's an irrational (and potentially harmful if you act like that in every aspect of life) attitude.

I think with that post it's been established this thread isn't going to get any better

No!
Maybe a little. |
OANST you're just as bad for engaging in this gauntlet of top notch shittery! Be a real man and watch from the sidelines.

I think the sky looks more like the Slig Barracks than Paramonia but someone said it wasn't finished so whatever.
:
OANST I don't give a shit about what you think of me, you're not really in a position to judge. Calling people disgusting is really getting old, can't you come up with some new material? E: Holy shit there's been like 4 posts in the time I spent writing this. |

Yeah you can thank my phone for that. So anyway how about that sky?
|
It is quite an odd sky. Quite an odd sky, indeed.
|
I think it's the wrong color.
|
It really is, it's more of a sickly aquamarine than a nice turquois-ish blue.
|
I don't care if it's not from the original, but Paramonia would look so sick if a section of it was in the pouring rain. It would kind of add to the forest-y atmosphere
|
Yeah that would be good, actually. Like having lightning and thunder in the distance, too.
|
Did... did nobody else think to go look at the original Paramonia?
http://i.imgur.com/FGJFtev.jpg The sky is exactly the same. |
