I've been trying to build a huge rail-road, but it is hard finding gold to make powered ones.

You do know you can just put powered tracks every five or so links so they just boost the cart along, right?

Look at me, I haven't even played Minecraft.

Phylum 06-16-2011 11:40 PM

A little?

I had to do the tutorial mission 3 times due to me clipping into solid objects. I then had to do it a 4th because for some fucking stupid reason a cazador spawned and killed me in one hit. That was almost enough for me to put it down and not pick it up again.

I've played a bit of the way through it siding with Caesar's Legion. It's had it's ups and downs but it's generally worse than Fallout 3.

That's exactly what happened to me :fuzsad:

I'm playing ME2 now, I like how you can import your char from the previous game and actually continue the story you created. I left Kaiden to die, would be stupid if he suddenly turned up again.

You bitch. Kaidan was remotely cool for a human character.

Don't worry, he won't show up. His death is officially canon in your story, Ashley will appear instead. Plus, extra dialogue + angsty e-mail if you were in a romance with her.

I beat AC: Brotherhood. I didn't pay any attention to the first game and I haven't played the second one so I didn't understand the ending at all. Other than that, it was a very good game and very enjoyable. I'd give it a 9/10.

Also, I got myself some Micro$oft Points a while ago and I bought Duke Nukem 3D. (About time!)

I still have 1300MSP left, any recommendations?

Motherfucking limbo man!

Jordan 06-17-2011 10:01 AM

I downloaded Terraria, it's a freaky but pretty fun game. Nice and relaxing ;)

Motherfucking limbo man!

I plan to get it when it's on sale for 800MSP. 1200 is a bit too much.

Mr. Bungle 06-17-2011 10:10 AM

Yeah, get Limbo. One of the best downloadable games I've played. Way worth the 1200, plus you don't know when it's gonna go on sale - could not be for a while.

Dynamithix 06-17-2011 10:28 AM

I'll wait. It was on sale in December so yeah, it'll take some time but now I have to beat Duke Nukem 3D, DJ Hero 2 and AC: Brotherhood's side missions.

Daxter King 06-17-2011 11:45 AM

1200 is too much for Limbo.

Super Meat Boy.

MeechMunchie 06-17-2011 11:58 AM

Push the [Buy] buttons!

jumper 06-18-2011 12:55 AM

I agree with Super Meat Boy. If you can tolerate the difficulty, the amount of hours you could potentially put in will justify the cost (I'm at 68 hours, and still doing some speedruns and playing some of the user created levels/chapters)

Dynamithix 06-18-2011 06:51 PM

Just wondering, is Kinect worth 80€? I could get it at that price and I'm actually kind of interested in getting one but I have heard some bad things about it. Anyone who has one, please, is it really worth it? Does it work? I'm really interested in Child of Eden and other upcoming titles.

Daxter King 06-18-2011 08:18 PM

Make sure you have enough space for it, 10 feet should be enough, also what is that in US currency?

Phylum 06-18-2011 09:08 PM

I'm playing Spiral Knights and fucking loving it. I'm a bit annoyed that you need 2-star equipment to proceed into tier 2, but I can imagine that it would be annoying playing with someone that was under-equipped. I currently have a Wolver helmet-thing and I'm working on gathering ingredients for a 2-star sword and armour set.

Daxter King 06-19-2011 12:29 AM

Internet checkers.

Fucking bullshit rules everywhere, I must play street checkers normally because I haven't heard of these fucking bulllshit rules.

I'm actually kind of interested in picking one up too. Not for any games, but just to navigate the 360 dashboard.

Been playing Magicka with Cammy.

It's pretty fun, but also very buggy and hiccupy.

Though it's funny, so I can persevere.

Look at me, I haven't even played Minecraft.

Since the cart goes back and forth along the same track, if it goes up then down hill, I'll have to place powered ones on both sides.

I've been looking for a seed to give lots of ore (especialy gold and diamonds).

Daxter King 06-19-2011 11:59 PM

Bought Dead Space 2, maybe an hour into it and it's already really fun. Love picking up shit and throwing it at enemies.

So build flat tracks, then.

my mate wants me to get that game of steam...
is it worth it?

Jordan 06-20-2011 02:41 AM

It's totally worth it, especially if you have a mate to play it with. I don't have anyone to play it with but even on your own its addictive as. So yeah I'd recommend it.

Phylum 06-20-2011 03:31 AM

Is it worth someone like me, who has fuck all knowledge of computer-y things, to install Wine for?

Dynamithix 06-20-2011 07:22 AM

I got Blur today because it was really cheap and I've been looking for a good racing game. I really like it already and the thing I like most is the power-up system.

I also bought two PS1 games, Carmageddon (A classic!) and Gran Turismo (Also a classic!).

Havoc 06-20-2011 04:24 PM

Man, these Mass Effect games are some of the biggest games I've ever played. Certainly bigger than Fallout in terms of missions and dialog. Been playing ME2 for 18 hours and I don't think I'm even halfway there, then again I'm doing all the side quests too and I skipped quite a lot of those in ME1.

MeechCrunchies 06-21-2011 12:14 PM

I've been playing a lot of games lately, mostly older ones while I wait for my new graphics card. Just recently I started playing Duke Nukem:Manhattan Project, and it's kinda cool, but the music is blech. Also been playing a lot of American McGee's Alice, I'm too nervous to play Silent Hill 2, Postal 2 is friggin awesome , and way too much of COD4 and MW2 :D

The end kind of sneaks up in 2. The first one seemed to have a more coherent story arc, and was more satisfying. My point being that you may be closer to the end than you think.

The Kinect is worth the money. The games are slowly but surely getting better, and the voice/gesture commands are nice, plus being able to video chat with people instead of picking up the phone not only saves money, but makes things more, I don't know, personal.

Except only one person who I know has a Kinect. He never uses it.
