I finally know how to compile a model for gmod!

THE BAD

Gmod has a restrictions to poly count which is 6,000 that means alot of my models are going to be less detail.

THE UGLY

I have no idea how to texture it. I uv unwrapped it and converted the files to VMF, but for some reason it doesn't show up on the model :/

Well I'm having a hard time trying to compile a model (for some reason it give me error after error after error :C) so yeahs things are not to good, and its hard to find somebody to compile models for me :/ and i still cant figure out how to get texture on a model. But i been thinking about making a thread on facepunch about the oddworld models! Hopefully its gets enough hype and people will actually help me! I also been busy doing stuff for other people :/. But dont worry we will see oddworld models in gmod.....one day.

How big is clouds glukkon next to the slig i rigged?

From the pictures it looks like he might be a little short?

The glukkon is a little bit taller than the slig.

By how much taller do you think?

If you're looking for accurate sizes atleast, i'm sure cloud wouldn't mind ajusting the size if nessecery.

These are the files for glukkon and slig compile by madmanmad and cl0ud :)

Actually, with a slightly improved texture and maybe a slightly tweaked model, that slig could prove to be one of the coolest 3D models on this forum. Mostly because you would be able to use it.

uh thank you? About the models Hmmm im not sure because i dont have enough freetime like i did before :/ Maybe me and madmanmad can make some props like those ticking bombs or a sack of meat XD but im not to sure.

Ah. That's right, you didn't compile the models.
But I just mean, When you get models done, if you could maybe email them or even just post them, that would be fantastic. Like the Mic and the Getcha pants. Then when we reach just about enough models to choke a coder, I will Then make an Oddworld Gmod pack. All credit will go to you. :D

I figured we needed some lower ranking glukkons seeing as we only had a gluckstar, so i did some "wanna be" suit glukkons, lost of diffrent colors!

They aren't quite finished yet, the faceposing needs some touching up.
