Alf Shall Rise 02-27-2007 04:43 PM

I was reading the, "so...no more Oddworld games?" and MoxCo. said that the movies weren't gonna be about Oddworld. Is that really true? Because I heard a bunch of hullabuloo that OWI is making an AO film...

Arxryl 02-27-2007 07:13 PM

We aren't sure at this point. It is assumed that they will make OW movies after CS, but we are not sure.

Cullen Heath 02-27-2007 07:19 PM

They are making a film called Citizen Siege. It is placed on earth, and has nothing to do with Oddworld.

moxco 02-27-2007 08:48 PM

Yes, for once I wasn't making up jiberish.

Wil 02-28-2007 03:15 AM

They are still working on pre‐production for the first Oddworld film, the last I heard.

Jordan 02-28-2007 06:46 AM

Are they really? Wow, it's good to hear about the pre-production, at least they're still keeping us hyped up for something Oddworld-ish.

Wil 03-01-2007 05:55 AM

Well, they have been for a number of years. It’s not exactly hot off the press information, but they certainly haven’t forgotten Oddworld.

Oh, and I moved out all the discussion on Oddworldian reproduction and social structure so that it wouldn’t dominate the Q&A.

moxco 03-01-2007 10:04 AM

Ok, its quite nice in a little thread of my own.

danm i forgot to celebrete for my 400th post so ill do it for my 403rd w00t w00t w00t 403 post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paramite of War 03-01-2007 12:47 PM

Do Paramites make webs?

What does a fuzzle's skeleton look like?

In MO can you though a Slig out of a window?

Arxryl 03-01-2007 01:13 PM

Well, we aren't sure what a Fuzzle's skeleton looks like, but it may just look like a large skull.

Paramites make something like Webs, but I'm not sure if they are used for the same purpose as spider webs.

And I know you can pick sligs up, but I'm not sure if you can throw them out of windows. However there was a demo movie that showed something like that.

Paramite of War 03-01-2007 01:19 PM

Its on Max's site the demo I mean

Arxryl 03-01-2007 01:22 PM

Yes. I haven't thrown one out a window, but when I succeed/fail I'll let you know.

Cullen Heath 03-01-2007 02:32 PM

No, you can't throw a Slig out of a window. There are no windows to throw them out of in the game.

And, yes, what Paramites make are webs.

Arxryl 03-01-2007 04:51 PM

Are you sure? How about in...Splinterz I think... there might be one there. You know, where you must posses a Big-Bro slig to take out all of the security.

Cullen Heath 03-01-2007 08:46 PM

:p Trust me man. I know my Munch!;)
You know that those comercials aren't the Munch's Oddysee that you play on the Xbox, right? That was when it was to be for the PS2, and when they were rushed by Microsoft after the transfer a lot of things were cut... Throwing Sligs out of windows being one. It's a bummer, I know, but oh well. I still really love the game... while most of the people bash it.

Actually it was OWI's choise, don't blame MS for it :p

Cullen Heath 03-02-2007 09:18 PM

Oh, my bad. But still, didn't Microsoft have a lot to do with it?

Xavier 03-03-2007 03:26 AM

they offered them the opportunity to be one of the launch games

Zerox 03-03-2007 03:28 AM

It's really both of their fault, to a degree. OWI for switching at such a time, and MS for rushing them. And I personally wouldn't have made it a launch game if it would compromise so much of the game. I don't see why OWI switched other than that, and if it's allegedly because of some coding problems (I think I heard that somewhere), it seems a bit odd than no other game EVER has had this problem that we (or I) know of. So I don't see what the problem was. They got the PS1 versions to work fine.
Paramites probly make webs for a number of reasons. They allow them to make previously unreachable areas, well, reachable, such as enabling better footholding on smooth rocks, climbing up to high areas, etc.

Bullet Magnet 03-03-2007 04:25 AM

Their webs are obviously for living in, and other "domestic" uses. They certainly don't use them to catch prey (as far as we know). It probably isn't sticky.

tentacle_orgy 03-09-2007 03:26 PM

Does anyone have the picture of Fangus with the cat face behind him? I've looked everywhere, even TOGG, but I can't find it.

Cullen Heath 03-09-2007 03:28 PM

I don't think there is such a picture.

Wil 03-09-2007 04:02 PM

It doesn’t currently show up in TOGG because of a magical coding bizarrity that cannot be explained by the conventional laws of logic.

Cullen Heath 03-09-2007 04:41 PM

Whoa!
I have either never seen this version of the picture, or I never noticed that. And I usually notice things.

Jordan 03-10-2007 01:19 AM

Awesome! I've never seen that picture before! But what the fluff is that cat doing there!?

EDIT: Lol, I was 11 seconds away from double posting!

Wil 03-10-2007 03:44 AM

The cat is one of the enemy characters. The world of Fangus is populated by ‘humans’ that evolved from either dogs or cats. Fangustan is invaded by cat people who are something like the Russian Mafia.

Jordan 03-10-2007 04:23 AM

 Woah! Was that gonna actually be the story line of it all if it was made? Freaky!

Wil 03-10-2007 05:36 AM

That’s the backdrop. We don’t know what the actually story of Fangus is.

Cullen Heath 03-10-2007 06:16 AM

He has to escape disease or something before it gets to him.

used:) 03-10-2007 10:45 PM

That's really just the premise, not the total story.
