Nice line art, Stranger's Maid! I look forward for the final version. :)

A comic about the happenings after the end of Treasure Planet. It's about John Silver again. :p
You need to full view it to see it right! I have to link this comic because the file is too big to upload here... Enjoy! |
Haha, this is great!
Silver has got some problems now. |
 Thank you. Glad, you enjoyed it!
|
Funny comic! I really liked how you drew it! Very skillful you are!

I'm sure, it'll be awesome! |
I made a comic about the Chipmunk Mafia. They're characters built by me, too. The left Chipmunk's name is Don Ronaldo and he looks crazy.
He got traumatized by a cat a few months ago. She tried to eat him and chewed him up. In this moment of fear, Ronaldo went mad and broke with his teeth the tonque of her till she spat him out. And then, Ronaldo clawed and bit the cat to death. But he'll be always mad and crazy since it. The cat's teeth are also the reason for the scar on his eye. Well, the file of the comic became too large again... so you can find it on this link here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/52669713/ (Full view!) Enjoy! :) |
heh heh! that's pretty funny! I like how calm they are about it... adds a certain humourus feel to it.
Niceness... :) |
Same here. They seemed to feel more sorry for Ronaldo than the skinned cat!
Funny comic. |
Thanks for your comments, guys! Glad, you enjoyed my little comic. :D
-- I'm finished with coloring the picture of John Silver. I was too lazy to make the background, so I kind of stole one from the movie. Left: Original Size Right: Smaller Size |
Hey, it really looks like the original...
|
Woah!:eek:That looks beautiful!:eek:Keep it up;)
|
I like it! Your work looks like it would be a professional cartoon! How do you do it? I must know you're secret! :p

I noticed that it looks like the real cartoon when you make the lines very thin. By the way, the lines theirself are not all black. Silver has brown lines in his face, I noticed that in the movie so I made it too. :) I've made a tutorial one week ago. Actually, it's a comic turorial but I used the same coloring technique for making the picture with John Silver too. (I had to split the tutorial because the whole file became to huge.) Part1 (Storyboard and pencil drawing the real comic) Part2 (Coloring of the background) Part3 (Coloring of the characters) Hope, I could help you. :) |
Cool. I wish I could try this out but I dun have Photoshop...
|
Same here... I wonder to myself silently how much one would cost? It always sounds so interesting but...
and by the way, you are in a cameo appearance in my thread if you want to check it out... ;) |
I'm afraid, Photoshop is pretty expensive indeed. I only could use it because my brother is computer scientist and has lotta good programs too. I'm lucky even I didn't really deserved it. :)
-- Made a new picture. The colored version of "The Interpreter". Left: Original Size (I actually worked with this size to make the details better. Especially to draw the lines clearly.) Right: Smaller Size You may criticize it. I think, it became totally crap... |
I think it looks really beautiful!:)Maybe the umm human's foot looks a bit strange:goof:...
|
The farmer looks like a dork. XD
But that's only the expression, not the art or lines. They're good! |
Awesome! That looks very good... it must have taken a lot of time! I like the twilight effect.

Making the line art and coloring took long. :

-- Currently, I work for a picture of Paco_The_Taco's characters again. I don't know, I love his comics. They got interesting stories. :D These are only the sketches of the characters which I needed to do for practicing. The little girl is Pan and the monster is Acho. (Original picture from Paco_The_Taco here. ) "When Pan was born, her parents were horrified to discover that she had two horns growing out of her head. Believing her to be a demon, they abandoned her in the jungle, chained to an egg. When the egg hatched, Acho was born. The chain that once bound her to the egg now bound her to the creature, and her parents had intended for Acho to eat her once he had grown large enough. Things went differently, however, as Pan was able to tame Acho with her music playing, and the two have formed a close bond (both figuratively and literally, due to the chain). She communicates to him with solely her music, and he is fiercely protective of her." |
Lovely sketches, SM! I like the one of Pan and Acho in the second picture most. :)

Thanks for the comment. Much appreciated. :)

Ah, so THAT's what your OWF username is. The "search" feature didn't have much luck with "GloomyUnderwoods."
|
Hey, great to see you here again! :D
:
(Actually, I don't like my OWF username anyway...) |
In my opinion, that comic tutorial is a real hit. It's really useful, I've already started working on one of my W@RF-related drawings, following the tutorial's coloring steps.
I like those pirate-related pictures. They remind me of the game Monkey Island (of course, the game lacked half-machine pirates, but still...). |
:
But I saw one little mistake of mine which I noticed yesterday. Usually, cartoons don't light up the lines of their characters when they put the shadows/light effect on them. So the lines have to be a single layer and the colors another one. Use the light/shadow effect on the coloring layer then! :) |
Pied Piper of Hamelin
Yesterday, I was like drawing a picture of the Pied Piper of Hamelin for some reason.
I don't know, that was like one of these PING!-inspirations. I thought about the part of the story when this guy led the rats to the river (I'm not sure whether it was a river or a lake... deep water, definitely, where the rats drowned then) and I had a picture mind immediately. So I simply drew it. This is the sketch which I'm gonna color soon. It badly needs to get some colors for the right expression...! To give this "fan art" some own ideas of mine as well, I plan to make clear the water means death for the rats by overshadowing the colors of the environments. Like, from right to left, the plants becomes sere and the sky is dark too. Unfortunately, the Pied Piper's melody played on his flute is too sweet for the rats to resist. :) |
Very nice sketch. Can't wait to see the colored version!
|
That looks really good!:)keep it up!
