I would expect Sekto to be chewed by something as he swam in the river. Or if he try's to crawl out, hopefully a Scrab or something will be nearby :P
North would be North in Oddworld. The 'north' implies to the 'top' of the planet, which is icy like our northern regions, as it gets less ehat and light from the sun. Same for the South. Hm?

Xavier 10-19-2006 11:13 AM

maybe buddy screwed up and max couldn't correct it :p

Arxryl 10-19-2006 03:11 PM

until I fix my interplanetary flying device, no one will know for sure.
(unless Lorne Lanning came here and told us the correct answer.)

Bonedust 10-19-2006 03:34 PM

While Arxryl works on his device I have another question.
Does Alf have any distinctive physical traites that can be used to tell him apart from any other mud?
Abe has his tattos'(please excuse my spelling)
Big face has the white loin cloth and his big face/mask
and Buddy has an extra fifty pounds.

Cullen Heath 10-19-2006 03:36 PM

He always has his lisp... but Physical, isn't his Fez a bit different from other Muds'?

Arxryl 10-19-2006 03:58 PM

I'm not too sure. probably. Or maybe you could tell him from everyone else bvy the way he acts or stands. I don't know...

Maybe max can find out when he goes to Emeryville.

Xavier 10-21-2006 02:23 AM

well I couldn't tell he was the last mud in the desert with abe (AE intro) and he was the one who pushed abe in the big well (MO) so I guess there's no real way to see if it's realy him or not

Arxryl 10-21-2006 06:12 AM

The simple way of doing it would be to have a sign hang around his neck that says "I'm Alf."
then we would all be happy! Escept for alf, who would get pretty upset with having a sign hang arond his neck, constantly getting in his way.
Or maybe they all have their names on their loin cloths... I wouldn't be the one to check, but still... there must be some way to tell if they are different or not.

A question I have had for about five minutes is, what did Abe do after MO? I mean, the last we see of him it that he is sitting on the bow of the ship when the Vyykers lab blows up...

Nate 10-21-2006 07:14 AM

Abe went on holiday some time before Alf did. Best guess is that he's now sitting on a beach somewhere sipping a tequila.

Wil 10-21-2006 08:52 AM

Well, first he shut down the Evenwurst Weenerz factory and heisted the complete wealth of Fort Glokz.

Liberated Mudokons have restarted the bodily arts practised by their ancestors: body paint, tattoos and physical modification are all ways in which Mudokons express their individuality. We only started seeing this is Munch’s Oddysee, with a couple of different styles of topknot, only seen in the pre‐rendered videos.

Arxryl 10-21-2006 10:14 AM

Ah... thank you for the information. it's a lot clearer now.

Bullet Magnet 10-21-2006 12:54 PM

The Evenwurst Weenerz factory?

Cullen Heath 10-21-2006 03:02 PM

It's the main factory that Abe and Munch need to shut down in Munch's Oddysee, GBA version.

Bonedust 10-22-2006 06:04 AM

How does Munch's foot print on the gabbit moon tie in with the story of seperation on Oddworld?
(for the small few of you dont know the story)
OWI said that the Glunks and Muds were allies at one time but when the Muds saw their hand print on the moon they thought they would be the planets choosen species. This angered the glunks and caused the seperation of Native species and Industrial species.

Bullet Magnet 10-22-2006 06:06 AM

It could have been an Expresso-induced halucination.

Slaveless 10-22-2006 06:07 AM

It was to represent that Gabbits were also divine species. This could be since Munch could help destory the Octigis' overrule on a great deal of factories in Mudos.

Bonedust 10-22-2006 06:10 AM

An expresso couldnt do that. To make a halucination they would have to take an overdose of chill pills.
Edit: My reply was made for bullet magnet but slaveless types too fast.

Slaveless 10-22-2006 07:16 AM

BM had said a joke, Bonedust.

And what you said about me is a bloody, filthy lie. There is no way I type fast.

Bonedust 10-22-2006 08:15 AM

I ment that you type faster than me.
I knew he was joking.

Bullet Magnet 10-22-2006 10:49 AM

Unfortunately, Abe and munch never tried Chill Pillz! :p

Nate 10-22-2006 11:39 PM

There have been many discussions regarding Munch's moon - a search will bring them up.

I believe that the current theory is that that backstory is no longer considered canon (especially as it has not been mentioned lately, not even in the book) and that some other theory regarding the significance of the moons will be forthcoming.

Wil 10-23-2006 01:56 AM

Eh? Really? That’s new to me.

Nate 10-23-2006 03:03 AM

Hey, I'm just working from my memory here.

Bullet Magnet 10-23-2006 08:29 AM

Actually, a shared hallucination does seem to be a much more plausible to me then a lunar feature no one had noticed before appearing at that very moment. Stellar bodies do not deviate on a whim!

FTW.

Xavier 10-23-2006 09:50 AM

you mean the moons aren't real?
how come all the muds at the end of AE see it, mass hallucianation?

Bullet Magnet 10-23-2006 10:31 AM

No no, that is obviously real. Come on Xav :p

I'm talking about the bizzare Gabbit moon that nobody's heard of before.

Wil 10-23-2006 10:32 AM

I think BM is refering more to Munch’s Moon than Abe’s. Abe’s Moon does have a history, or at least an effect on the Oddworld history that we know of. If there were actually five moons with various bodyparts orbiting Oddworld, you’d think they’d be a hell of a lot more important to even the Industrialist races. Five such moons stretches plausibility.

Thinking about it, Abe’s Moon might work better if its face were still obvious, but not so exact.

p.s. lengthy replies FTW.

Nate 10-23-2006 04:59 PM

That's why Lorne changed his story (which I forgot to mention in my previous post) to the explanation that the hand on Abe's moon was formed by asteroids at the exact moment that he was approaching the end of the stockyards. Thus the moons are a sign of the coming of each hero.

Bullet Magnet 10-24-2006 02:27 AM

But I saw it fully formed before then. One of the secret area screens in Stockyard escape has that moon in the sky.
