It's been too quiet lately. Thought I'd liven this place up with some new drawings. Just an old vampire movie character for now.

...As soon as uploading becomes available, that is. Currently, it's not working.

Here goes a new comic about an invention I made up. I hope it reflects the brain-washing characteristics of shopping channels seen on TV. :D

Hahahah!
That's so funny! It'y funny from the beginning to the end. :D
I gotta need a thing like this...

Creepy Doc 06-05-2007 04:37 PM

Great works here.

dripik 06-14-2007 10:57 PM

Uploading is working at last, so here it is, as promised.

Creepy Doc 06-18-2007 09:47 AM

I like the shading picture most. Nice works! :D

dripik 07-17-2007 04:05 AM

Computer games are rather inspiring sometimes...

ziggy 08-13-2007 10:00 PM

Here's some new stuff for you peeps. The first is something my grandpa did, I just wanted to show you I think he's real good. The second is a funny dumb weird thing I drew when I was baked. :D

The first is something my grandpa did,

I was just going to say "Oh man, I love that drawing style of yours on this one!"

But it's really a good one. I like those pictures that are kinda funny but also kinda true.

I know right? My grandpa has a pretty good sense of humor for his age, but maybe hates Bush too much. My family is way liberal.

Oh ok I'm not much of a gamer anymore, and thanks except....I didn't make that one.

Matriar 08-14-2007 10:33 PM

Awesome coloring. I see faces too.

Creepy Doc 08-15-2007 03:28 PM

Nicely done. Awesome!

ziggy 08-24-2007 04:09 AM

Thankyou.

happy robot Woot!

-Oh and I was wondering (this is a question to other artists here) do any of you know how to promote your art? I want to but not sure how I should begin.

dripik 09-21-2007 11:07 AM

I've been neglecting this thread lately. I posted most of my stuff at deviantArt in the last month. Thought I should share some of them with you here.

A colored version of the 'war sceene' picture, an illustration of school starting, the comic Power Of the Tiger Tank, and a self-portrait, in that order.

ziggy 10-31-2010 11:11 PM

Ok I can't sleep right now, so I'll post revive my ancient thread yet again with some newer stuff.

Something that happened in the Sentence Game, which you probably have seen before when I was being annoying.

is nude art allowed?

ziggy 11-03-2010 07:51 PM

Yes thankyou! Finally somebody fucking contributed. I like the giraffes, ya draw vaginas or dicks that's fine. I'm no Puritan german Christian freak.

Was that a joke? I tried to make the skull drawing smaller on photobucket but it still shows up friggin huge on the post from my computer.

scrabface 11-03-2010 07:58 PM

eh no I meant it serious this is how I see it:

Stand back while I quote FC rules at you.

:

2. Do not post pornographic material
Pornography is stuff made specifically for sexual reasons. There is such a thing as tasteful nudity (see the art of Vanilla Killah for example) which is acceptable, and sometimes nudity happens in stories, but don’t take this as an excuse to post just anything. Please be sensible in what you post.

So yes, since what you posted falls fairly safely under the category of 'artistic nudity' it was perfectly fine. ;) If you have any further quandaries, that is the thread to visit.

yeah, these are great!

which media did you use for second one?

STM 11-04-2010 09:06 AM

Hmm, I'll have to post @ some point! This art shies mine away though.

ziggy 11-04-2010 10:02 AM

@scrabface: I used mainly charcoal for the goat skull and oil pastels for the other one. I've been dabbling with oil paint since I just got them, and realize they're infinitely better than acrylics. But paintings definitely take much more patience.

I'm sorry Splat but it seems you enforce the rules too strictly here. Modern Art now is pretty much supposed to have no limits, and there is a fine/subjective line between tasteful nudity and pornographic art. I've seen stuff displayed that's way more obscene than the things you delete in the fan corner here. But that's just my opinion, you can just brush it off if you wish.

Oh and scrabface, do you use Adobe illustrator, Corel paint or some other program to make those last couple drawings? I've tried with digital art, but I'm not that great. Here's something I randomly assembled one day on my computer

http://i932.photobucket.com/albums/a...ngbut3/024.jpg

Oddey 11-04-2010 11:51 AM

This thread inspires me to try my hand at with drawn art again, but for now I will simply say well done. To everyone who posts and posted here.

mostly I use Photoshop, but Illustrator and Corel Paint too. You got a graphic tablet? it's really worth biting you through. The first couple of months were mostly disappointing because I didn't know the interface and so on. but after 3 years now it became a third hand. but I am aware that digital art never will be able to top simple analog art.

ziggy 11-05-2010 01:40 PM

I have the Abode Master Suite, with all the programs. I suck at photoshop, though, and I hate it. I made that abstract thing with Illustrator. I just draw with a regular mouse and no tablet so it's pretty hard/awkward. I've been trying with flash animation, but it's really hard to get the hang of. You've ever been interested in that? If so we should make a cartoon together! That would be really fun. I love voice acting and making characters but the whole animation part is hard, mainly because I suck at programming and I don't have enough time to practice it. I really think that Weebl and Bob guy is a flash master with those loops he makes, since he makes the voices and music himself too. A true internet artist.

scrabface 11-07-2010 03:34 PM

a graphical tablet is really a fine thing but I don't think one need much technical stuff to do interesting art.

for example this is from a french artist and he only used windows paint for this one (so pro...)

oh yeah I was always into animation but it's nearly impossible to become an animator in Austria because Austria never cared about animation...
I tried some flash animation but yeah it really needs some practice and know how about animating. but one day you'll see I'll be an animator.

here's my first try with TVPaint lol

you have some animation to share? would love to see more of your stuff

Dipstikk 11-12-2010 07:48 AM

oh mai.

scrabface 11-12-2010 04:45 PM

I'm working on this short flash animation, it's about this hunter

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4QZjCi448Q...00/maddog1.jpg

who got maniac and hunted down every single species that ever existed, but there is one more to complete his collection. after some research I decided to use the design you can see above, but I am afraid his head is reminiscent of the head Elmer Fudd has got.
