Have you tried going on the website? It's www.g4tv.com, in case you weren't sure. Or can you go on the site? I'm looking around on there right now, but can't find anything about it. :-/
|
Old And Not So Tasty, Could you please tell us how to get to it?
I searched and searched, but had no luck. |
I don't know, man. I WATCHED IT ON T.V. If they ever replay the episode you can catch it that way.
|
Oh, right.
Forgot about that little problem. |
I know someone else from here saw it too because they were one of the callers that got the signed book. I think it was Abe16. Not sure. But I'm fairly sure that it was Grig The Slig's brother.
|
It was Oddguy.
Lucky little...... |
Yup. It was Oddguy. Talk to him about it. He saw it, too.
|
The only reason that I remember it was him, was because I remember him saying: "It felt so cool, like I was in the same room as Lorne."
|
:
|
No. He was a caller on G4tv.com while Lorne was a guest and taking questions.
|
So wait, this was some kind of television broadcast?
Man, I've actually saved the latter part of this conversation. Almost as funny as “Noone's there anymore.” “Who's noone?” No wonder your bowels hurt. I found what I think is the correct transcript, but it lacks the phone-in bits. |
:
I though they said Noon's, like afternoons. Like the name of a restaraunt. |
Winning that book was so awesome. Anyway, I have that episode permanetly saved on my Tivo back home...
...Lorne did say Sam stitched Abe's lips. It was right after they asked me my question, which asked if Abe's stitched lips had something to do with him not having teeth. I answered False of course, and the hosts of the show in turn asked Lorne what the real answer was. "The real answer is that Abe cried a lot when he was a baby and his Mom sewed his lips shut to keep him alive...and there's a bigger reason as to why." Above quote taken form memory...so a couple of words may be different, but it's the same idea. -oddguy |
I knew it was you.
So the artbook is signed, wow. You're so lucky. Do you have it framed? |
Nope...it's inside the original envelope it was sent to me in, and that's inside a box.
My plan is to take all of my oddworld merch and put it displayed behind glass on a wall...kind of like a trophy display but much cooler. :p Of course, I can't do that in my appartment, so it'll have to wait until I have my own house. -oddguy |
Thats kinda like what I have now.
I have my room, then my Oddworld cards and strategy guides on a ledge in my room (they are super safe there.). Then I have all my very rare Oddworld stuff in cases and my Oddworld posters and T-shirts in frames on the wall. |
That explanation may have been a dumbed down version for viewers who weren't so familiar with Oddworld, so that he wouldn't have to explain about the Glukks, Sligs and their culture.

He said Abe's Mom right? He didn't explicitly say Sam :p
Anyway Lorne tells somethime fasle things. Like when he was saying Stranger wasn't a Steef. I suppose it's to let us have surprises in the future. Or he is re-writing the story because of needs for the film. |
Why would he give misinformation about a game that came out 7 years ago? The Stranger thing makes sense. To do that with Abe doesn't.
|
if their next project is the Abe movie...
he might want to change some background story to fit the movie and the game |
Yes. He may wish to change some backstory. That I can agree with. But misinformation about where the stitches come from would make no sense.
