Thanks, guys! Glad you like 'em. I do too.
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...er_smaller.jpg Clem Kadiddlehopper (Yeah, I know. Mom gave me the idea...) Species: Stulter, a very tall species who hunt tree-dwelling animals. IQ- somewhere in the negitive numbers Description: Dumb as a stump, but as tall as a tree. Understandably, since with someone that tall, it takes a while for blood to pump to their brain. Sports a stylish Canadian accent (or, on Oddworld, a Stulter accent). http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...bb_smaller.jpg "Big" Burtha Hevernway Species: Slusk, a species of 8-foot-long, tempermental, hermaphroditic molluscs. Status: Definately the brains of the operation. Personality: Often frustrated with the lack of compedence displayed by the members of the group, Burtha keeps herself sane by matching wits with everyone and stroking her ego. Extra bits: Though she is technically a hermaphrodite, she is female-dominent in her personality (just as Humphrey and Irwin are male-dominent), so is therefore referred to as a "her." http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...rk_smaller.jpg Jacques Species: Stark, a race of four-legged, flightless waterfoul with a serrated beak. Specializes in: breakdancing Personality: A French speaking quadroped who feels he has to mediate everything between the members. He and Burtha are of about equal intelligence, and have a mutual respect for each other because of it. He's very light on his feet (being only 2 feet tall and having hollow bones), and his species are renound for their acrobatic skills. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...r4_smaller.jpg An unnamed Merc. Something like Styrak, maybe. He looks like a styracosarus. Update: The Merc's name is Bruno and belongs to a species called the Styraks. He's like a bear in the sense that he's quadropedal, but can manage on two legs as well. I'll have him up soon. |
Oohh that last one is scary:fuzsad: otherwise they rox:p
|
Yeh that last one definitly has styrachosaur-esque features, with the head plate and the spikes, but I like it :D and I agree with Dancin' Steef, tis rather scary.
|
Odd creatures indeed.
The Stulter's body reminds me of something... |
Give me more mon! If this was in a game I would pick it up in a heartbeat!
|
Holy crap, Dipstikk, you are an amazing artist!
What do you use for coloring? I'm getting sick of using my colored pencils.... |
I use Photoshop CS to color my stuff. Thanks, Ambi.

The Mercenaries: Burtha, Clem, Jacques, and Bruno (coming soon) Hired by Borsikov when he realized that Actra and the gang might be more than a match for his troops. These four prove to be more than a match when fighting Actra and the group, and easily overtake them (enter Afterworld). Once ressurected, and sporting shiny new powers. Actra, Alf and Munch show the Mercs who's really top slog, sending them packing and crying to their mammas. Of course, that's not the last time we hear of them. Certainly not. |
As always Dip yer art Rox:D like the facts of the new species:p, we wants more see?

Yeah, it's kind of big. Clem's outfit. Can't have the big, yellow freak prancing around in his birthday suit, can we? |
I like your art Dipstikk! A while since I've posted here but you are still as good a drawer as ever. These ideas are creative, and definetly have a feeling about them that would fit in with Oddworld. More please!
PS: Will any of these characters appear in your fic, which I seem to have lost the link to? |
I like the art Dip! Gimme more....:robot:

Nice artwork, Dipstikk. Yeah, he looks like a lanky redneck to me due to the get-up. ;)

Clem colored. I wanted his skin pigment to be similar to a rotting banana. Should I color Burtha or Jacques next? |
I personally like Jacques the best, so I'll go for him. :D Great work Dip.
|
Me too. I wanna see how starks are colored.
|
I was hoping you'd say that. I'll get on that, but I also want to give him some sort of wardrobe. Maybe a trendy pouch on his side and some goggles.
|
I too really like Jaqcues.
Just a thought, was Clem inspired from Junior from Reno 911? |
HAHAHA, I see that too! Oh, man!

Yep definitely, I can see Jacques with flight goggles. Dipstikk, your art is amazing, and the rotting banana effect for Clem was achieved perfectly. I did mean Actra's Oddysee, and it's cool that they will appear. Your creativity is a good thing, most people do pics of sligs, mudokons etd. that, while they are very good, lack the creativity. Good stuff. (I've wanted to use that smilie for so long...)

One of the few pictures that I actually get Alf right. Soak it in, folks. I've always wondered what's keeping Alf's fez on if he doesn't have a ponytail. I guess he would have just cut it down to a nub and fit the fez over it. |
hehe:lol: good job with lil Alfie dude:D he looks cool, oh btw you did a great job with colouring Clem;)
|
Alf looks....Pissed. Wow wonder what happened to him at the time.
|
His fez got nicked. :p

Antonias, Actra's boyfriend. A little bit of Marilyn Manson went into his design. The Noctero have several sub-species, just like dogs, cats, or any other animal for that manner. However, they see these physical differences not as different species, but as seperate tribes. The three main tribes the comic focuses on are the Astinti; Pteronocturnus astintii (Actra's tribe), the Naroskiti; Pteronocturnus naroskitii (short, gangly, Gollum-like creatures), and the Kerrotoss; Pteronocturnus kerrotossidae (huge, brutish creatures with underbites). These are the male variations of each group. Females and better-quality images coming soon. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...k2/Astinti.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../Naroskiti.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../Kerrotoss.jpg As promised, Jacques in his gear. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...be_smaller.jpg |
Sweet! You are developing quite the society for the Noctero. Very good indeed.
