What do you think the pants are REALLY powerd by? ;)
|
Petrol, charging an electric source of some kind.
|
:
|
I'm thinkin' that the Slig pants are steam powered.
Steampunk pants FTW! |
Slig pants are powered by fuel produced at Flub Fuels, which is made from the fat sucked out of Mudflubs
Flub Fuels and Slig pants Flubco and mudflubs |
Ugh, that was a poop joke.
|
Hey guys, how do you get the infinite grenades feature for killing all mukodons in AO? I think in some secret areas you cannot kill all the mukodons. For example secret area D3 In scarabania D2Po8Co5-D2Po8co9
|
You don't have to kill all the mudukons.
I think it's about 80-something. |
But when you tell people that, they start skipping Muds and usually fail. Basically, just kill all the Mudokons you can.
|
I thought you HAD to kill every single mud you come accross if possible.
|
No, the cut-off point is actually quite low, 80-something like Phylum says.
|
76.
That would include all the unnecessary ones with a margin for error. Happy killing! |
well I may just do that if Oddbox ever comes out. I want the steam achievment for it damn it!
|
OH! If i post a question, then post another one right after that, is it double posting? Or there's this joke thread, and If I post two jokes in two comments at a time, is that double posting?
|
If you post twice within 12 hours it's double posting. If it's been longer than that, go ahead.
This question is not related to Oddworld, so it should have been asked in FS&H, or in a PM to a mod. |
Is Stranger really a good guy? Did he become good when he agreed to help the Grubbs, or was he taking advantage of them just to enact his revenge?
|
Stranger was intentionally made morally ambiguous, motivated by his self-defined sense of justice.
His character was influenced by the 'Man with No Name' character stereotype as portrayed by Clint Eastwood in the 'Dollars' trilogy |
Oh. So you could see him as either good guy or bad guy...let's go with gray. Somewhere in the middle.
Are the Clakkerz bad guys? They moved into the lands the Grubbs used to live in when the water dried up, but are they really bad guys, or just stupid? |
The Oddworld mythos does not believe in Good Guys and Bad Guys; merely individuals who are regarded as good and bad when seen from a certain perspective.
You know, just like in real life. |
The Stranger's initial goal is survival. That's why he wants the surgery, that's why he goes after Sekto. But I think by the end of the story he's learned to feel for the Grubbs because he's come to realize his ancestors' role of guardians of the Mongo Valley is part of his real identity.
Clakkerz are self-interested and selfish, and they don't give a crap about the Grubbs or the environment, but they're also pretty ignorant about what their doing to the world around them. Essentially they're just trying to get by in a harsh environment and preserve their way of life. That latter point can be said about any Oddworld race. |
So Stranger is a good guy, Sekto's demon is a bad guy, and Clakkerz are just idiots.

How do mudokons smell?
|
Awful!
|
HAHAHAHA oh dear a tear to my eye, with their noses =)
|
hahaha you're so funny!
The question should have been "Where is a mudokons nose?" but that wouldn't have been as good a set up for ench. Anyway, looked it up (as I should have to start with) and it seems it's in their forehead, naturally. |
Just like with birds; nostrils at the top of the beak.
:
|
It's the seeming lack of nostrils that got me
:
|
If Sekto's demon wasn't a bad guy, what would be the point of the game? It's a story! Even if Oddworld isn't like Earth, you still have senses of right vs. wrong! How else do you play games?
|
Obviously Stranger is the protagonist and Sekto is the antagonist. The point is, Sekto has rent to pay, a lifestyle to maintain, social ranks to rise through. He's not some evil genius born with The Malevolent Gene out to destroy civilization with no real motive. He's a financially successful product of society.
