Minecraft to me is better then it was. Alpha was great but looking back it was so basic and got boring really quickly (To me it was anyway.)
If you don't want to play the recent Minecraft, why don't you backtrack to another version? http://mcpatcher.cwsurf.de/ They are other programs I think but it worked for me recently. |
The Ocelot idea is really cool. I managed to find a download of the old school "ooof" noise :D
Edit: Just got myself an ocelot. I entered the seed 'linkinpark' and spawned in a jungle! |

Cats are so overpowered now. Tame one and you're basically invincible.
|
I spawned in the jungle by just making a random world lol.
Yeah I agree, with a cat creepers are nothing but gunpowder farm sacks, and with sprint power and enchantments, creepers arent what they were, unless you encounter a supercharged creeper.... |
Off from the jungle for a second I had just used Mo Creatures for the first time I think it's really cool. Having jellyfish to scorpions to werewolves and ogres and using a harder mob mod now it is like before in the scary way.

HUGE Snapshot update today.
:
On Hard difficulty and Hardcore Mode, zombies break down Doors. NOWHERE IS SAFE NOW! |
Yeah,I tried that out minutes ago lol they make bashing sounds when they try to enter, the safest way is to have iron doors, but in this Snapshot even iron doors are broken down :X
On easy they just make noise trying to break the doors XD |
EDIT: Never mind!
|
Testing the new snapshot:
|
I think my compound is safe enough, as the front gate is made up of fence gates. :>
|
My secret fort is armed with glass doors powered by sticky pistons.
|
For those who care. New SoI. Not the best episode but whatever. :) |

I don't get the whole rare monster drop deal... I don't find it even remotely useful. Those items are so easily obtained that getting them from a monster wouldn't bring me joy at all. Specially if they make em more rare x_X
|
Mabe they should add traders to the game in villages so you can sell junk and buy useful stuff

At 0:03: By the way Minecraft is programmed I'm assuming that's how they actually work at Mojang.
|
Apparently The guys at Mojang always have a lot of fun, really gives a positive message about working in the gaming industry. Aren't most game companies like that anyway? Maybe it's more Indie companies but maybe i'm wrong.
|
Oh hell no. You never heard of crunch?
|
Indie companies are a lot more fun to work in, if not more laborious. Mostly because at a company like Bethesda you are faceless drone thrown smack bang in the middle of all the other faceless drones and the only way you get some recognition is if you're the lead game developer or the CEO.
|
Really sucks that I have to go back to 1.8.1, it's the only one that's stable for my shitty laptop (irony intended)...........
Oh wait, no one would care about anything I say or do no matter what. Feelsbadman.jpg |

Also Up-side-down stairs! https://yogscast.com/attachment.php?...1&d=1330003779 |
Golems and stairs FTW! XD

As an experiment, I copied the layouts of a couple of buildings from World of Warcraft in Minecraft. This also includes Exoddus fortress on the OWF server - The vid keeps swapping between WoW and Minecraft, so if you want to see where I got the inspiration for that building from, this vid shows it:

Today the four (main?) Bukkit developers were hired by Mojang to work on the modding API. I'm excited.
Also, I talked to one of them (Dinnerbone) on IRC and he revealed one of Minecraft's darkest secrets: diamond is actually emerald. |
Just because it's called emerald in the code and used to be known as emerald by fans before Notch gave it the official name of diamond?
|
Well, no, not just because of that. I'm sure Notch still thinks of it as emerald.
|
If he wants it to be emerald, he can make it green. And add red rubies and deep blue sapphires and all that. They can all just be variations on diamond, you just need to have three of the same type to make a pick. :hobo:
