FINALLY. A melodeath band that has redeemed the genre. Thank fuck because most MD bands are becoming pretty monotonous. EDIT: I know posting that kind of comment whilst posting a cover of another song is pretty redundant but fuck it, it's a good cover. So here's an original, if y'all bother to listen to either to them. Which I doubt :P |
I almost forgot how amazing this song was. |
I've posted this before, and I'm posting it again. This is the only song I ever heard which sums up a great deal of what I've been thinking since I was about 15 in the lyrics themselves. Especially from 1:38 onwards. |
I just love the drums in this song. They really are fantastic. And the lyrics; deep, dark and moody... just the way I like it. |
:)
|
For rap enthusiasts. Fuck me, this man is quick. |
|
Finally, after 3 years, have I purchased Different Stars by Trespassers William.
Dreampop/shoe-gaze for anyone interested. |
Ah, shoe-gaze.
It's been a long time my mellow fellow. |
A bit of Slint. Mmm mm.
|
I can't believe that Motorhead Sherwood (the one who does the BRILLIANT baritone saxophone solo just after the main theme is established) died (on the 25th of December). He was fucking great. |
Shit quality but quality shit. Yeah. |
And some proper, anthemic rock. And... something else. |
quite like this. |

RIght now. Everyone. Grab your nicest pair of headphones, and listen to this. It's undescribable. |
I love M83's unique style.
I'd love to hear an instrumental version of Raconte-Moi Une Histoire because I don't really like the little girl singing in it. I couldn't find Klaus I Love You on Youtube, but that's a really good one too. Both of them are from this album. |

Sorry, my bad. I tend to get like that after a few joints.
But the point is, the production on the song I linked was incredible. It was like I was in a room full of people singing at me in weird rhythms. |
For some reason I really don't like their single "Sail" and wrote them off until I found out that song sounds nothing like all their other ones. |
Mr. Bungle has almost the exact same taste in music that I do.
|
I take that as a compliment.
Have you checked out this album yet? |
My friend gave me Illinoise. I'm loving it.
|
Turn the volume up as high as you want, this is the most relaxing piece of chiptune I've ever heard.
|

Also, I bought the album Brighten the Corners by Pavement today. Haven't listened to it yet, but I have pretty high expectations. Love their first two albums. |
I love this poem. |
I should probably get Röyksopp's newest album since I've listened to Melody AM and Junior countless times. They never get old though.
Sparks is probably one of my favourite songs of all time. I just keep listening and listening to it whenever I'm bored or I go out for a walk. It's so good, but it's also a bit depressing. Don't know why. Maybe because of the lyrics somewhat. Maybe in a thousand years... you'll be here |
This album still blows my mind after hundreds of listens. |
Double post but too excited to give a shit.
At the Drive-in has returned. After a decade-long hiatus, one of the best rock bands of the past 20 years has come back to allow us to bask in their glory.. This is a tremendous day indeed. http://www.sputnikmusic.com/news.php...20363#lastpost And for you degenerates who have no idea what I'm talking about: |
I discovered a motherfucking awesome electronica artist, Yuksek. I love his stuff, especially Away From the Sea. I prefer it much more than his newer album. His stuff reminds me off Crystal Castles but much more... bizarre. I love it though.
Give the last one at least 30 seconds to start up. |
Reptile - Skrillex t'was only a matter of time. Moar dubstep needed. |
Urg, no. Not really. I can't stand all this "wub-wub-wub" nonsense. It was somewhat tolerable at first, but now its totally worn out its welcome. Time for a new electronic phenomena, if you ask me.
How about... something like this: Ahh, much better. |
Boards Of Canada are fucking great.
|
please, i'm begging you guys, if you do one thing today, please watch this, at least up to 1:20, if you don't like it by then, turn it off. just so you know, its a spoof rap band, its not supposed to be meaningful or deep or whatever, just seriously, listen to the lyrics.
|
I don't consider Lonely Island as a band and I've already heard that. They're more Bits and Pieces material.
|
funny though, and still music.
|
Eluveitie has a new album coming out and I'm excited for it. |
Yay, I actually recognise most of the songs in this one.
Which means that this is 'my generation's music'. Oh dear. Also |
Now then, first time I heard this song I detested it with a passion but it's hilarious to work out to so while I do weights I put it on. Pretty motivational.
=D |
My finger is hovering above the neg-rep button.
