Never has a thread been more appropriately titled in the history of these forums. I'm gonna try and sum up my reaction to the various posters.

Havoc: Initially brought up the topic of entrapment of pederasts who have not yet committed any crime. An interesting topic, which no-one actually discussed because they just assumed he was defending sex offenders. Later on, he brings up some interesting philosophical questions about maturity and appropriate ages to have sex when it's not an abusive relationship. Once again, no-one actually responds to this because they just assumed he was advocating sex offenders.

scrabface: Also a fascinating topic; how should we deal with people whose brains are wired up to be attracted to someone underage? It's a difficult topic and one that no-one actually responded too because it was more entertaining to belittle him.

OANST: Suffers a knee-jerk reaction to the topic of paedophila and seems to be incapable of actually reading and comprehending anyone else's post without the red mist of anger dropping down. Rather than demanding that Havoc stop posting, I would think it more appropriate if OANST stopped reading.

Moxco: Seriously... what the fuck, dude?

Everyone else: Needs to grow a brain and the ability to discuss a difficult issue maturely. Also needs to READ everyone elsels posts and UNDERSTAND the point they're trying to make, rather than the point that they've already assumed they would make.

I agree whole-heartidly with Nate's summary of this thread. I think Havoc's posts were misinterpreted although the points he made where hard to pick out at first, he did make some good points. I think it's a shame this thread just turned into namecalling/Yur famleh, because it could have become quite an interesting discussion.

I would like to apologise to OANST. I never tried to personally attack him (or his family for that matter).

While reading this I neither had OANST nor his daughter in mind. I thought of the daughter as a purely hypothetical character, created for nothing else but an example scenario.

Of course after responding my comment would have looked a lot worse than intended. If I had known how it would have appeared I wouldn't have wrote it.

Nate: I fully understood and responded to his arguments multiple times. Never once did I ignore what he was saying. What I was saying is that as the person who is attracted to young girls he is not in an objective position to decide which ones are too young and which aren't. On multiple occasions in this thread I admitted that no one matures at a set rate, and it's impossible to say at what age an individual will be ready.

Soooo, to keep predatory adults from damaging those who aren't ready we are going to have an age of consent. You break it, there will be repercussions. And any adult who actually tries to have sex with a young girl is such a disgusting creature that even if it doesn't damage this particular individual they still deserve the repercussions.

In regards to Scrabface: Wrong again, Nate. I responded to him multiple times. I answered his question multiple times. It wasn't until the third time that he asked the question that I asked him to stop changing the subject, especially since he was already answered.

Also, while I did eventually degenerate into insults, I was attempting to discuss it rationally until Moxco's comment, at which point I started bleeding from my ears. Havoc's insistence that I watch what I say to him made me lose my sanity. Yes, I initially attempted to stop Havoc before it even started (knowing that the conversation wouldn't work on any coherent level for long), but I made an attempt afterwards to discuss it.

I thought I did a decent job of trying to rationalize with Havoc for a while. It just gets hard.
