I think this is appropriate to post what I have to say. And this may only apply to Mr Bungle.
Apparently Mr Townsend is planning on releasing Ziltoid the Omniscient on Rock Band as DLC, I think. And I'm not too sure if this has happened already or not but, Christ, I need to get Rock Band. Or not, the thought of By Your Command kicking my ass on a plastic toy guitar is going to be even more humiliating than it is on a real one. |

Ridg3: I'm looking forward to Hyperdrive! on drums. Fantastic news.
Amazing.
Because every song is great. |
I don't care about the game at all, but this song is pretty damn catchy. And cheesy. Anyways, like it a lot.
"Metal Fox" from "Crash Bash" :D
This is beautiful.
I got a zombie on me, and you can't harm me
Who do you voodoo, bitch? |
Why doesn't anyone post any music here. :[
One of the catchiest pieces of video game music you'll ever hear. So awesome. |
Just been reminded how great this track is. |
:
I made this video myself. Be nice.
There will never be another game like it |
Short but sweet!

It's a cliche in post-apocalyptic fantasy, but you know that bit in the film/game/book where our long-suffering hero has done more than he should, seen more than he wants to, and he'd trade his life for some small comfort?
And then he hears a voice. More often than not, it's the most beautiful voice he's ever heard. And he just stumbles forwards like a zombie to find the source of this enchanting sound, in the midst of this deathtrap wasteland? Bastion (very good game, check it out, I'll post in WAYPRN? when I finish it) has, IMHO, the best one of these moments, with one of the best songs, ever. Lean back and enjoy. EDIT: Also, a classic. |
I can't edit my old post any more.
Creepiest use of music box ever. |
"I hate the smell of this part of the city..." |
Why hasn't anyone posted in ages?
Rayman 3 music rocks. |
I remember posting that in the first version of this thread.
I remember you posting that in the first version of this thread.
I did? Oh well its still good :)
Not you, MM.
Not MM?
That is the only sentence I have ever seen where a semicolon would have helped.
Good ol' Battle Network. Loved these games. The music had up and downs but just about anything relevant to Bass was top notch.
Sanitarium had a creepy soundtrack overall but I think this song easily set the mood perfectly.
MM may have already posted this.
No, but I did already post this.

Playing some Doom with my dad, I just now remembered how great Doom 3's main theme is.
Listening to the Rayman 3 OST after seeing it mentioned. A lot of it is wonderfully ambient. Case in point: Mecha Legs.
I love that stage. Rayman 3 really understood the meaning of 'Breather Level'.
This is my favourite megawad for Doom 2.
Partly because of the music. This levels annoying but has one of the best songs IMO.:p |
Okay, screw it. Prepare yourselves, because this is my pick of the 200-track OST. In chronological order:
Excitement and adventure, a good start. Mischief and magic, a good continuation. Challenge and trouble, a good change of pace. Beauty and mystery... I'll try not to do that for the entire post. FUNK! Now things are really kicking off... Kastere's post: Rampage edition. It's funny, I never realised these were six seperate tracks. Turns out they just merge into each other once you get past a certain point - often only a few seconds away. Makes you wonder if it was worth it. I've got 1... 2... 4... and 6. This game really was pretty freaky, wasn't it? I can think of no other game with music like this. My fraternal love for violinists may be leading me a little here. Also, a harp! Genuinely frightening. The funk's creeping back in again. Don't recognise this one? You were probably too busy trying to kill those fucking mudmen. Again, not doing wonders for the 'Rayman 3 wasn't that weird' argument. Yah-hah! Have at you, cad! Just. Plain. Cool. It's hard to believe this is from the same game. Feel my plums Everyone's favourite; Actually more subtle and relaxed than most people remember. This is very ambient. This is even ambient-er. And less musical. This still gives me nightmares. Seriously. ... But that's nothing compared to this. The Knaaren were scary, but not as scary. Nothing says 'Battle' more than didgeridoos! The Longest Shortcut was interesting. It was quite obviously a sort of training centre for the harder levels to come... ... And yet the music was so relaxed? Christmas! Also, you're going to die! Xmas: Xtreme Xedition. This just sounds like an evil base. Missile Command! And that funk just won't stay away... There are sympathetic villains, and there are the kind of villains who have this music playing in their base. Hoodlums are the latter. In platform games it seems to be obligatory for the music to get all mechanical near the end. ... And then get all techno-synth and abstracted. The last jetcar section was a mistake, but the music was good. Everyone's favourite... and they knew it. Hence the supercharged version. Argh! It's so jolly! My heartfelt gratitude to anyone who listened to even a bit of all of those. Your threefold reward: Now let GA play you out to the next thread... Yes, funk. |
Congratulations for nearly crashing my firefox.
I don't give a shit how much everyone bones Rayman, that's far too many videos for one post. |
Go suck Rayman's floating dick.
Just give me thirty seconds while Firefox decides not to crash everytime I open this page.
