Oh, boys have periods. :P You're all a nightmare! XD
I remember the popular kids in school. Fortunately I got on alright with them but most of my friends got really badly bullied by them because they weren't "cool". It just turned out that 3 years later, we're the "cool" ones because we're arty and shiz. - Rexy |
Aw yeah! See? I guess you are right Used: )... they DO grow out of that phase. (except fopr the pcychotic people out there who think they are Super Man when they aren't.)

An interesting site refuting many people's arguments for having children and continuing humans;

every line. Nice to see. |
You're so superficial it's not even funny.
|
True dat.
I've never been bullied, which is a good thing, but most of the girls who are surrounded by at least 5 people wherever they go, most of the time are complete shitheads. I don't want to be around shitheads, therefore I don't hang out with them. I'm not popular, but I'm not unpopular either...which may sound rather strange but hey, it works (Since we're on the topic) |
I will now be making my usual last-person-into-this-topic entrance. And by that, I mean totally disregarding the previous 8 3/4 pages and posting my own opinion.
I'm planning to have kids, but, thankfully, I have a minimum of 3 years until I have to worry about it. Having kids is supposedly the Holy Grail of parental happiness, but I'm starting to see that, like most adult things, it has been grossly overrated. Lately, i've been noticing that whenever people are going to get married, they seem more concerned about making babies than actual love. So, i'm kinda torn. On one hand, there's the always present married-couple-having-children expectation from society, but something inside tells me life would be much, much easier if I didn't have kids. So, this whole post of mine is mostly just a decision to be indesicive. What the hell, i'm only a Freshman, anyway. Why should I be thinking of it now? |
I know exactly what you mean. People nowdays could care less about love. They're more concerned with either their hedonistic little adventures or reproducing rather than what should really matter in a relationship. It really bugs me.

Try taking yours out, too, occasionally.
The only reason people look in threads where you just posted in is to see if your downgrading someone or saying a whole load of crap nobody want to hear. What a coincidence you showed up so fast here. |
:
|
So they can continue to say things that are stupid. Like... "You are a fag! Go and make out with a toilet! Fatty! Oooooooooh!"
See? the endless circle of taunts... |

Maybe we should just end this nonsense ourselves by Not egging on anybody.
I would still like kids, unless my balls somehow got chopped off in some wierd accident involving a pair of scissors and a large hammer. and chill pills. Then I'd still probably adopt some kids. |

Of course, this just paints a huge target on MY back for being sensible and saying it out loud... |
I agree with you, mitsur. This entire arguement is completely pointless. Let's just all drop it and get back to the discussion.
|
Damn, homies.
|
Sorry to ruin your fun Used ;) I dunno why us peace-lovers can't argue for the sake of arguing.
:D |
Somehting to do with the molecular structure of our brains... not sure though. :)

You know, i'm regretting typing this post, because I know that even though I'm posting AGAINST bickering back and forth, i'm actually contributing. Damn reverse physcology...
OANST, if all you're getting out of OWF is that giddy feeling you get when you're being a prick, why are still here? Please, just stop this stupid arguing. *waits for witty yet stinging retort* |
Stinging as in needles? Or a man-eating flesh desease?
Okay kidding aside... well, actually that was just completely kidding. I think this is the crowd of people you don't want to shout "Pasifism rules!" in front of. *hopes the rage and fury dies down a bit* |
No offense, Arxryl, but you are only adding to this pointless arguement. It's best if we just stay out of it, since nothing we can say can resolve this. Ultimitely, it'll all lead up to ths topic being closed.
|
Correct, my good friend.
*Ed voice* Shush! |

Yeah, seriously. And if they haven't they probably don't care to do so anytime soon :p
|
:
;) Sorry if I have offended your eyes at all. |
As we all know. Making the babies is the fun part.
|
But raising 'em can be fun too :)
|
Yeah... I enjoy the whole cycle of children. Making the babies, raising the children, watching them graduate college, seeing them beat you at video games, watching them get married, and then knowing they are sharing the same experience as you have when their first "It's a boy/girl!" sign pops up on their lawn.
|
So do I. It just seems very...nice. I honestly can't wait until I become a father and get to experience all of that :)
|
Everybody here is a jerkface.

:
to the thread's title (especially in a thread they posted in already), what's the chances they won't go in and investigate and maybe try to humilate the other. |
My thoughts exactly, but that feud seems to have died off.
|
Well, even though yes, almost everyone has posted whether or not they want children or not, we could still potentially discuss the ups and downs of the scheme in a civil way.
|
Yes, that's precisely what I was hoping we could do as well.
|
A good thing about having kids would be the joy you could bring them, like the joy my parents borught me as a child.
a bad thing would be if you weren't a good enough parent for them and ended up treating them like dirt... I would hope for number one. |
So I'm an uncle today my sister's baby came early it's a girl *sighs* there goes my plans of teaching the kid to be just like me, the baby was an emergency cesarean section which I hear is quite popular these days. I feel kind of depressed my parents are getting older and they know it and time is just flying but nothing I can do about it.
|
No.. I imagine that this is pretty on-topic. You are discussing children and so... yeah.
Congrats on the neice! |
