It took days for my mother to design her website with pics, text, and
video files. And with all the extra stuff they add to all these popular
websites, I expect it will take even longer. But I'm not sure.

Well, we just have to hope and pray that the website will be finished soon.

Actually, these guys are professinals in making websites. They have the technology to do a lot more in just the same amount of time.

But I agree with Xavier. Usually you go with fliers a month before you make your website offical. But this still makes me suprised at the speed Lorne is making his film. It takes Pixar 4-5 years to make their films. But yet, it only took Lorne over a year to release that he is making his film. Maybe it's because they already have their designs for their characters?

I really think we should get a couple of people to go on the Oddworld site every hour to see if it is finished or something like that.

A few people already probably go to check anyhow.

It is good that they are making computer animated movies, just imagine how fat Abe and all the others would have been if there was real actors inside them.
I also think it would be based on the games but with more "fill", like when you in the A.O. say: "hello", the mudokon answers: "hello", then you say: "follow me", and then the mudokon says: "okay", so it could be changed so it sounded more like this: (Abe is A. and the mudukon is M.)

A.: (whispers) "Hello, I want to save you so follow me and be quiet."
M.: You!? the employer of the year!!??, so what will you now do, make me go away from my job, and when a slig see me, you say that you tried to catch me, and so i will be in risk to be executed, and you will not get your 10 daily slig beatings but only 5???!!?!".

I don't think that they would even be able to do that. It would take practically years to make all the environments. They wouldn't be able to afford the money to do that. Plus, why have actors, when Lorne was able to do all the voices in AO?

That scene was pretty cool, but that would have to happen a different way in the movie. It would be boring for people if they saw this scene 99 times. But it could be one of the ways that OWI makes the sequences.

I really doubt he would make a movie of AO, AE and MO. I think he justs wants to press on with the Quintology. Thats what I would do anyway.

Oops, I forgot how many people don't know what Oddworld is. But do you think he would just use some cut-scenes from the games in the movie?

my guess is that it will all be new material with maybe one very small CG scene from the game as easter egg :p

CG has evolved and the AO and AE material is now old compared to the modern day standarts

Really? I thought AO and AE CGI looks a bit better than todays versions.

But if you blow it up to full screen size you'd notice a huge difference in quality and the fineness of detail.

I really hope that Lorne will (re)make quintology by making movies, and still continue with making games (wich should be for PC also).

Yes, I was a bit upset when Oddworld went XBox as I don't have an XBox.

A lot of people are upset about the switch to Xbox. But we
don't have the power to change that. So Lorne will either
go back with PS once the PS3 is released, or he'll stick with Xbox.
Maybe he can try both systems.

I kind of think the PS3 should have
enough power to support Oddworld. I mean they say
it's a strong system.

That is, if he is going to make more Oddworld games at all. Since he's developing movies, he might not have the time to make more games, though I hope he will.

I was thinking I wanted to get the Nintendo Wii (Prototype name=Revolutiob). Its got so many cool games and stuff, and the control system rules. I would think that Oddworld may be interested in using it...
PS3 copied the idea of the motion sensor, and there's isn't as good as it only recognises certain tilts etc. as a default, not any can really be invented or anything.
I didn't think Sony would sink that low. and X-box 360 came out WAY too early, not enough effort put in I don't think. It may seem good now, but I reckon the others will be superior...I mean, it can overheat, for God's sake. Couldn't tehy put a cooler in like they do with computers? yes, stupid Microsoft with their stupid legal forcing...(they made a contract sp that the next 2 games Oddworld made had to be unique to X-box only and no other console)
Also, I don't want them to make specific release dates. Release dates suck, because it encroaches on the time they have available and can ruin a game, or suppress its quality.

This is refreshing! I was startng to wounder about Oddworld and we get this new stuff. I am looking forward to this and as an old member, ill be comming back here more often now that new and tasty stuff are comming.

I think the AO movie will carry the same plot as the game only viewed differently as a story where we see Abe interact with the other characters Muds etc. Only now other characters will have more important roles as oppose to what the game focuses on. I mean granted we might see films from the games but expanded upon meaning we will see the first film from the game but where that film ends in the game, it will continue as an ongoing story and film in the movie.

Why would I buy an XBox? The controlers are way to big and there aren't any good games for it.

X box have all the PS games and more so stop nocking x box i have one and I stiill like PS.
