I think they were programmed to do that after their original job was scrapped!
|
They usally tend to mimic whatevers around them and in their enviorment, not to mention that the Glukkons wanted to program them with a security gaurd like esscence (before they were used as SoulStorm ad's and such) so what was natually choosen was a Sligs personality (lazy to take the time and give them proper gaurd programing if you ask me!).
|
I didnt know that!! you learn something even odder each day dont you!
|
Another Greeters question, do they sense movement, or the body shape or something? Because they do not zap Sligs.
|
well they only sense movement...
|
Greeters
Greeters are programmed to identify different races and social classes. This comes from the fact that originally they were public relations robots. The security style Greeters are programmed not to attack anything except renegades like Abe.

Greeters
Well they already could identify all of the different species. When they were PR robots they would have had to in order to treat the different species with various levels of attention and respect depending on how high they ranked socially. Whatever went wrong DID make them attack everybody but a few minor adjustments made by the Vykkers (afraid of the Magog Cartel pressing charges) would make them the way they are now.
Thats my theory. |
sorry but I can't believe it... I think they weren't reprogrammed.
can't it be based on body temperature |
This question is so I can finish my fanfic. What would you call that stream of blue stuff that Abe makes that chases the sligs and stuff and possesses them. Don't call it possession, and I'm not talking about the orb. I hope you get what I'm talking about because otherwise I won't be able to finish it.
Plz help. |
what about a psychic influx... :fuzwink:
|
hope this helps
That was an earlier version of what is now a possesion orb. For all intents and purposes it is Abe's concious awareness.
|
sorry what do you mean???
|
Thanx Xavier and Khanz, don't worry about it M.O.M.
I think I'll go with the influx thing. My fanfic should be on the forums today. |
Im really confused about this influx thing! can someone please explain!
|
Its basicly his spiritual and mind's essence traveling in a plasma/energy orb like form and manuvered into the opposing body......I know...its confusing.
|
ah I see what you mean now! Thanx oddsville!
|
Well going for four questions in a row (except for M.O.M's but that doesn't count because it was a question about a question).
Why is Lulu so odd damn ugly? His face look's nothing like any of the other Glukkons, what's the deal? It's hideous, even for a Gluk. And in the MO book it shows the ranks of Gluks and two are of him and it looks really out of place. |
Everyone is different. Why is Abe blue and most other Mudokons green (retorical question ;)).
Lulu was described by the Almighty Raisin as a pitiful excuse of a Glukkon, plus some other insults. So maybe to back that up they mad him the way he is, to compliment the Raisin's words. Everyone is different in their own right. Alcar... |
Lulu
Last time I checked most people look different. Same thing with glukkons. Mullock would be a "good" looking glukkon in the eyes of his peers and Lulu would be an ugly glukkon in the eyes of just about everyone.
|
Yes everyone looks different but its not like we have majorly different faces, I mean you can tell a human face but Lulu's face by itself doesn't look like a Gluks.
|
I think LuLu was designed in such a way to get that reaction from people. And, probably to make him into the stereotypical dofus looking Glukkon.

very true alcar... here is a pictre to prove it

Interns
Well, I've been pondering this question for a while now:
WHERE do the Interns come from and HOW do they reproduce? Are they like sligs, where there is a queen that is the mother of all of them? Or are they like their Vykker masters where each individual is able to reproduce on it's own (hermaphrodites)? Or are they like bacteria, where they split, i.e reproduce by Mytosis(not bloody likely though since this form of reproduction or is rare in complex multicellular organisms)? Or are they like humans, i.e sexual reproduction? (please excuse me if this question has already been asked and answered or has been asked but nobody has come up with an answer). I've searched the forum for threads on interns and I found one. So I revived that thread in the hopes that people will come up with theories that could help us draw a reasonable conclusion. But, I posted the question here so that IF anyone knows a definite answer, they can respond and save us the trouble... although thinking up theories and ideas would hardly be considered as trouble in my eyes. |

To answer Canned's question...
Nobody knows much about the interns beyond what we see in the games. Their reproduction method is a mystery but we do know that they lived in the same area of oddworld as the vykkers and that they used to work together as equals until the interns became to lazy and got demoted. |
Is it true that Slog's lower jaw cannot move up and down??
|
slog jaws?
Ummm... I think it can, but I've never really paid that close of attention. It looks like its moving to me and it makes sense that it would be able to.

slog jaws
So I guess you are right Wolfbane. The bottom jaw is stationary and the top jaw moves up and down, opposite most creatures on Earth (the ones with jaws at least).
I learn something new everyday. Thanks Xav for the pic and Wolf for bringing it to attention. |
