Dragondon can't prove anyone wrong for anyone's beliefs. And I can't prove you wrong. See there you go Daniel. You accused me of arguing whic I wasn't arguing in the first place you changed all the conversation all around like your crazy or something. Makes me mad. I'm not here for people to agree with me I don't care if you don't agree with me. I'm not the type of person who wants to be agreed with all the time, especailly arguing over this stupid boring novel. I just wanted to share my beliefs and that's that. I don't know why all the time you think that your right and what I believe in is wrong. I can believe in what I want to believe. Freedom of religion right? Just because I believe in God, she can't prove me wrong about that, or I think that Harry potter is against my religion.

I was brought up in believing God so it's not going to be that easy convincing me to believe that God does not exist. You don't have to believe in what I believe, "Just say okay, whatever you say and move on." Instead of saying, your wrong blah blah blah.

i never said I was trying to prove anyone wrong...I was just merely stating something that i found interesting. That you say one thing(Harry Potter) that seems to go against God's teachings is evil and not another(Oddworld) that seems to be even worse then the other.

Oddworld does not have witchcraft and stuff like that. Where's the witchcraft in oddworld? I don't know. I see something in Harry Potter that oddworld does'nt had to make it against my religion. That's all. Oddworld and Harry Potter don't seem to be the same to me.

it has possession and shamans. Besides...'witchcraft' comes from old druidic religions that existed before the bible was written. Wiccan is a modern version of it and it is the worship of Mother Earth (my sister is a wiccan). those Druidic religions had nothing to do with 'satan' and the like and when the early christians first came upon them they called their God of Winter (I may be a bit off on this), which just happens to be a anthro goat 'satan', 'lucifer', etc. and forced many of them to convert to Christianity. They did similar things when they came to the 'new world' (to the Indians and such).

but have you seen any little kids putting spells on people, just because of what they see in oddworld? I always see little kids getting those ideas from those books, and they want to become witches and cast spells on people and that's not good. My cousin is like, "Oh, it will be cool to put spells on people and learn black magic." It's like, my goodness. To Oddworld, she's like whatever. It's something in Harry Potter.

You don't see them chanting hymms and crap in oddworld or Abe finding the magical whatever. It's just Abe trying to save mudokons, not trying to find the mystical magical mudokon man or something. LOL!

then it is not the books fault...it is the fault of the parents who don't teach the kids what is fiction and what is reality. Personally I feel that those that can't see the difference dispite what they are told need thier heads examined.


edit: Like I said...I might be off. I know for sure it existed before the crusides and such. Remember the bible wasn't actually first written for quite some time after Jesus' death (to the best of my knowledge that is). Basically what I'm getting at is that there were many other religions in existance before Jesus died on the cross...like the Indians shamatic practices...

Rettikk,Sydney, why whenever someone brings up things vaguely religous do you become radically abusive to me and anyone whose thoughts and beliefs arn't carbon copies of yours. I know some believe things god looks upon as evil and good. i just don't want people to lose their faith in christianity because some very intellegent but misguided people smooth talked them into something contrary to the Bible. Hi Statikk, I'm sorry if I gave the impression I was trashmouthing you. I don't abuse anyone about their religious beliefs. It's just that you said the belief in evolution infers a lack of moral responsibility or any kind of spirituality. I don't think it was very fair of you to say that.
