After a quick search it seems that on Tuesdays the store updates anywhere from 3-8pm EST.
|
Looks like it's out in the US.
|
You download the DLC and it's just this.
|
So Alf doesn't escape!? He dies from a fall!?
Well that's spoiled the ending! |
Just seen the whole walkthrough.. omfg it looks difficult.. and that was on Easy Mode! I can't wait to be screaming at my TV tomorrow night :P
|
Looks like Alf DLCs attached pre-orders aren't working, at least for some. We're trying to resolve.

This didn't work?

I'm just going to post a quick reminder that if you want to discuss Alf's Escape after having played it, please do so in the Spoiler Forum.
|
:
For Alf, if you pre-ordered we're waiting on a solution - there's little you can do unfortunately as it appears pre-order downloads for the DLC simply aren't working. Scrub Abe should just be a download though from the Store, although you might have to do a 'restore licenses' on your PS4. |
Just to confirm for some people: to play Alf's Escape you have to have already started playing the main game. Just progressing to the first checkpoint after the intro sequence should be enough.
Worth a try, as the option to play Alf's Escape won't appear until you've done this! We did this because it's meant to be a super-hard level that is intended to be played once you've at least got to grips with the basics. |
Alf's Escape is now out in Europe/UK too - http://www.oddworld.com/buy-games/
|
:
Just finished Alf then, if that's the standard of new original levels when the time comes for an all new game, we're in for treat. Alf was brilliant. |
:
I've tried it on 3 different computers and even though the browser on the PS4 it'self. |
:
|
Alf is out in Europe.. Day = Complete. Thank you JAW :)
|
:
|
The difficulty level is over 9000!

For any kind of spoiler please discuss it in the spoiler forum over here:

Hey, I have a question relating to the free PS Plus offer. It's possible this has already been answered somewhere, but I haven't seen the answer in my random browsings so...
I've picked up the Alf's Escape DLC through my PS Plus subscription, but I don't currently own the game (no, I'm not expecting to be able to play it without the game :P I'm not THAT thick xD) - this didn't stop me from being able to get it. But, it specifically lists the DLC as being for PS4. My question is - will I be able to use this copy of the DLC on the PS3 version when that comes out, or have I basically got a DLC that's useless until I get a PS4? (And if so, will the free-with-Plus offer also be available for the PS3 version when it's out?) |

So the DLC isn't Cross Buy/Cross Save?
|
:
|
What's the issue there? Sony DLC policy? Technical difficulties? Bad business decision?

If not I sense the oncoming horde of some entitled consumers berating Twitter with the same questions - "Why can't I play Alf's Escape on my Vita!?" they demand. OddworldInc expresses their sincere apologies "Sorry, but unfortunately we couldn't make the DLC Cross Buy because of [pretty reasonable circumstance here] :("
But they will not be satiated. "You said it was Cross Buy!" "Well, no, we only said the main game-" "Why can't I play Alf on my PS3??" "Sorry, but unfortunately we-" "Why does Oddworld keep treating their fans like shit!!" "Sorry you feel that way. Honestly we are-" "Why can't I access it on Vita!?!?" Me - "Blahblahblah shut up!" OWI *you'renothelping* "OMG, you mean I have to buy it again!?!? I'm never buying another Oddworld game again even though I loved Alf's Escape" ":( sorry you feel that way. We hope-" "When's it coming out for PC!!" And it will never end! |
Haha, well yes there will be those types, though I won't be one of them. Worst case scenario - if/when I get a PS4, I have Alf's Escape for that too. :P
*insert rant here, in complete contradiction of the previous statement's implications, of me demanding a PS3 version right now* :P |
