Not every game has a smart spelling in it, where in Strangers Wrath do you see the word odd?

Stranger's Wrath is not an official part of the quintology, therefore it doesn't need to contain the "odd" in the title

Yeah I thought that to but then I do vaguely remember reading somewhere that it was not.

So far we have had only 2 games in the "Quintology"

Abe's Oddysee and Munch's Oddysee.

Yeah the Oddysee games are the Quintology, The Exoddus games are follow ups from the Oddysee games but aren't technically part of the Quintology and anything else are just spin off Oddworld games.

I wouldn't' really call Exoddus a spin off. I'd stick with the description the game manual gave it as a "Bonus" games.

They aren't part of the Quintology at all. No technicalities needed.

This kind of superfluity is my new pet peeve.

I really think most of these titles sound stupid. Ground Up is quite good, but people outside of this thread probably won't understand why it's called that, let alone people that are new to the series.

I'll say it again, simplicity is key. Go short and snappy rather than having something long and stupid. If you were remaking AE it would be a different story, but a goofy title would detract from AO.

I don't think it would be a problem having titles that reference the Oddworld universe, because new players would then come to learn what the references mean.

So that's half a boat.
But the game's only HD compared to the original, it's like calling any game that came out this year HD. I think we can forget the HD label, that was only the project title.

It makes sense though as it's a remake of an already existing game, so I think HD is needed to separate it from the original game.

Or they could just rename it (but somehow keep the oddysee).

You don't see the Resident Evil or Silent Hill remakes with HD or Remake labeled on them, do you? Yes, they are the only remakes of games that I know.
