Varrok 03-10-2012 10:47 PM

Sure it's worth it, Bioshocks are at least good games

dripik 03-10-2012 11:27 PM

I only know the first game, but it's worth buying if you like atmospheric FPS games. A healthy amount of horror elements (by healthy, I mean not overdone), a range of weapons and powers that you can customize, looting, hacking, moral choices, and of course the thudding footsteps of a Big Daddy around the corner every now and then. I say go for it if all this appeals to you.

moral choices

A 'moral choice' when the game punishes you for performing a bad action is not a moral choice.

The only way it 'punishes' you is by giving you a bad ending FMV. Within the game, it rewards you for choosing the bad action with lots of ADAM.

Incorrect.

You get far more ADAM by choosing to save them every time.

In what way? Do you get rewarded at some point if you decide to save the Little Sisters, which in total is more ADAM than if you went for the other option?

Yes, though I think 'far more' was a bit of an exaggeration. For every three you save, you get a bonus of ADAM at the nearest vendor along with some plasmids and tonics, some of which you can't get any other way.

Oh, I thought you got less ADAM, but some other small items as compensation.

Varrok 03-11-2012 10:11 PM

Small items and ADAM

MeechMunchie 03-23-2012 04:15 PM

The Hitman series are a couple of quid each on Steam. That's pretty good for a £13, £14 game.

Wings of Fire 03-23-2012 05:47 PM

Play it if you haven't already!

MeechMunchie 04-11-2012 12:39 PM

Get two good adventure games for the price of five average adventure games for the price of one (Gemini Rue & Machinarium + A load of shit nobody cares about).

Varrok 04-11-2012 01:25 PM

Shoot. I already have Machinarium, and it's not worth to buy the pack for Gemini Rue alone

scrabface 04-17-2012 01:45 AM

The Witcher-Enhanced Edition for 4,99$ on gog.com

Manco 04-19-2012 10:13 AM

Hey, remember Botanicula?

One journalist said: "Playing the preview code of Botanicula made me so happy one of my legs fell off."

Now you do.

It’s on sale in the latest Humble Bundle!

Wil 04-19-2012 10:46 AM

And if you pay above the average donation, you get a copy of Kooky! I love Kooky! I wish I had a Kooky doll, but I suppose the ability to watch the film again shall suffice.

MeechMunchie 04-19-2012 12:20 PM

I've already got Windosill and Machinarium, and I'm not so interested in Samorost... But it is pay what you want... But it still feels weird. Does anyone want three free games? Or want to give me their copy of Botanicula?

Varrok 04-19-2012 12:40 PM

I can afford you Botanicula (+S2+Machnarium) for my precious 1cent if you wish.

Now you have to pay $5 to get the steam key. Are they out of their minds?!

1 cent? Heartless cheapskate.

Also, whaaaa?

dripik 04-19-2012 01:30 PM

75% off of the Mount and Blade games on Steam. I have Warband, and I enjoyed it - not a lot of replay value to it, but it has enjoyable combat.

Nate 04-19-2012 05:57 PM

I bought the bundle. Does anyone want Windosill?

I think I might also have a copy of World of Goo to give out if anyone wants it.

Crashpunk 04-19-2012 10:38 PM

I'll take it, Is it on Steam?
