Politics implies government. Anarchy is without government. Anarchy is not on the political scale.

If you want a political compass that includes Anarchism then go ahead, but it's as political as dark is a form of light.

That confused me for approximately two seconds.

As the wavelength of electromagnetic radiation increases from infrared light it moves through the spectrum of light until, after ultra violet light, it becomes invisible. You’re right that is a good comparison to politics. Even if you think anarchism doesn’t belong on the scale it at least has a designated place off the scale (as the scale represents a depression in governmental control).
