I just bought Munch's Oddysee yesterday and, believe me or not, I haven't got ANY problems/crashes/whatever since then (except game being a little too fast with Vsync off... but when i turned it ON, game went back to normal)... the controls aren't so bad I guess, I just modified them a bit - chanting returned to "0" button, "X" now centers the camera (No need for me to use mouse now [inverted :( ])... so.... I don't regret buying that at all... dunno about Stranger though
PS: I made some screenshots: http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/8610/abeaa.png http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/5671/abeaa2.png http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/5858/abeaa3.png PS2: My GPU is Radeon HD5770, in case somebody asked |

Also I am downloading MO right now. Let's see how this thing runs on an integrated graphics chip. EDIT: MO is running fine for me. Pity about the inverted mouse, but I'm getting used to it. Hopefully it'll get patched later. |
Does MO still have the Sobe vendos or have they been replaced with whatever they werea called in the PAL regions?

There were no "B-Betterz" in any released version of the game, only "Health Ups". The Steam release actually has SoBe, instead of having them all Health-Ups.
mlg man mentioned in his MO debug thread that there was a "Euro Gamer button", maybe that has something to do with the vending machines?

Yeah, this was really unnecessary, why can't they just use the European version instead? It's not like they had to redo stuff, it was already done.
Just been playing MO, and funnily enough I think it's only the first two or three Health vendos that are SoBes - after Dead River (I think) it's all "Health-Up"s.
This is true for the xbox version, for some reason OWI decided to just stop the SoBe machines after like 3 or so stages of use. I think it may appear one more time in a later level, but my memory is pretty foggy.

hm the game is allright, but why did they made an auto depossess button, goes on my nerves when i lost a bigbro from acidentaly pressing enter....

1: Hello 2: All a'ya 3: Wait 4: Work 5: Beat 'em up X: Fart 0: Chant Space: Jump/Action I've been having some weird glitches with them though, where the buttons get mixed up badly. Example: Buttons 1 and 2 are normal. If I press 3, or 4, I fart. If I press 6, I go "All a'ya". Even though I didn't even ask the controls to be bound to several buttons :/ When I use the numpad for Gamespeak it works fine, except the "Beat 'em up" button isn't working and instead gives me "All a'ya". Also my game crashes at the first Sloghut (while carrying Mudokons through the minefield), and at Brewery to Be (when I exit the mill after donating to Lulu) /Using Mlg Man's Debug menu to skip levels I crash at is how I got to Brewery to Be, only problem is that it doesn't save your Quarma :p |
Well, my first impression was bit sucky.. Strangers Wrath didnt work, either didnt work Munchs Oddysee.. Only AO and AE did work.. But now every game works good =)
does anyone have trouble jumping while holding certain keys in MO.
when you hold the Up and left key and press space you can't jump at all. though you can when holding the up and right keys other than that the PC port isn't all bad. I still managed to save everyone without major issues (except for the crashes but that was taken care of) |
:
I have exactly the same problem as you, Fierce.
Stranger's Wrath finally works fine for me, I'm happy. MO seems to run slowly on my computer, which is weird cuz it runs better on a slower computer I have. Ah well.
It's my first impression and review. I have no bugs to be concerned of, because apart from what I said, the games run fine. |
