The Nether is just plain scary. The sounds of them ghasts really are disturbing.

And who here also hears sudden random eerie sounds on the normal map?

Some of the sounds in Nether are from Silent Hill games. It's creepy as fuck.

Will anyone ever bother to turn on Hardcore mode?

I lose my worlds just enough as it is.

I play on easy mode. It helps prevent against cheap creeper deaths. Lava is still pretty lethal on it's own anyway. I'm getting pretty good at this game though.

I play on Hard. Its more challenging but not as annoying as hardcore.

I play on whatever the default is. I don't see how the game could be more challenging unless it stops you placing blocks directly beneath you.

I manage to make a Portal to the Nether yesterday and it really isn't that scary. its actually funny.

This game is fucking addictive. And I wish I hadn't come accross the X vids. They're just as addictive somehow.. despite the fact that not much happens in them

I like those X videos too. They're nicer than the Seananners ones.

Been playing a lot more, and trying to discover the secrets of powered minecarts and of portals (don't tell).

I'm really hoping portals aren't an odd number blocks wide, because then I can't centre it in my garden.

Also I just discovered snowballs last night for the first time. AWESOME!

Oh this game. I've been working on my world for a while now, haven't played it in a few weeks due to finals, but I can't wait to play it again.

Had to Expect that there'd be a thread here on it.

Anybody have any good OW skins? If not, that inspires me to make an OW themed texture pack...

Also, we should get an OWF multiplayer server up, stat.

We would defend each other from the creepers whilst the one creepy player will destroy our fortification to get us all killed by creepers creeping up creepily behind us. Creepy.

New update and with the inclusion of Squids... and some ore I thought was a better designed diamond ore, turns out all it does is making fucking dye.

Dye has been one of the longest awaited features, to be fair.

To be fair, I was disapointed whenever I did think it was Diamond :(. No diamond pickaxe for me.

They tried to get the dye in the game for ages apparently, but it kept crashing the game when it was Alpha for some reason. But i'm glad i've finally put it in.

The new Mob is cool too.

This is my favourite game I've never played. The amount of creativity that comes from it is incredible.

I play Minecraft for the building, usually on a server with my housemates and a bunch of other friends. I made a huge fort with an underground tree farm, a bar, a tower with a spiral staircase inside... bunch of other rooms too. Then I went on to start building a desert town. Unfortunately I have screenshots of none of this because I'm a derp and didn't actually take any while I was building it (and we made a new world on the server, due to updates and new mods).

Guy who runs the server (henceforth referred to as Dan) actually made a scale model of a wooden ship, with a climbable crow's nest and multiple explorable layers. Unfortunately it was kinda bland apart from that because no one dared customise it. Nice achievement though.

The sad thing is, my laptop won't run Minecraft on lowest settings but will run AO.

I have wanted to make some more skins for this game for a while, thinking a Mud might be a nice idea to go with that Slig. I need a new skin anyway, my current one is slightly lame but nicer than my first one.

You guys should really check out this series if you like Let's Play's of Minecraft. This is hilarious and fun.



Things get really interesting around part 16 or 17 when they meet the guy who has been setting up traps/weird buildings throughout the playthrough. Even though, it's a private server. It's really interesting and somewhat scary! Watch all of it! Gah!
