No dummy, that was the colaition agreement reached by both parties today.

OANST 05-12-2010 09:44 AM

Oh, wow. Political parties that agree on things and work together? You guys are so behind the times.

Wings of Fire 05-12-2010 09:47 AM

No dummy, we always knew it was going to happen. I'm just posting an update on behalf of the British people here.

Stop being so dumb, dummy.

OANST 05-12-2010 09:55 AM

No. I meant that seriously. Like, holy shit what the fuck is this? Our political parties just say the opposite of the other one out of simple reflex without even bothering to discover if they really should.

Bullet Magnet 05-12-2010 10:10 AM

It's hard to always be the opposite when there are more than two parties.

OANST 05-12-2010 11:53 AM

We have more than two. We just don't let any of the other ones talk.

I've read quotes from him stating that the government should find ways to increase their populations health and happiness, and lessen their attempts to line everyone's pockets.

He just doesn't seem that bad to me.

From my experience it's because hating Conservatives is the done thing among a lot of people. Particularly students, of course.

I mentioned that I voted Tory and my friends damn near lynched me. Most people I speak to regard that a vote for anyone other than Labour or Lib Dem makes you a complete cunt, and that the only thing worse than Conservative is BNP-some even view that as better because they'll never get in.

And in a way, I actually think the Conservativ/LibDem coalition (Needs a catchy name like Liblab. Conlib? Libory?) could work better than a solely conservative government. There's policies of both parties I like, and policies of both parties I disagree with. Just hope that it's more of the former and less of the latter that happens.

That's gotta be awkward.
