I hope the series picks up after Heartgold/Soulsilver.

Everyone says this and I don't see it, it must be the nostalgia filter at work again.

Platinum is the best game period, it may not be my favourite and it may not have the pokemon I like in in but it's graphically and technically the best. The massive amount of revamps they make every successive generation improves on the balance and dynamics of gameplay, it's now far fat better gameplay wise than Red and Blue ever were, whether you like it or not.

Also to clarify, G2 was my favourite pokemon set and world to explore, but I wouldn't give up my G4 technibobbery for anyone.

I didn't really like G3. Now, G4 churned out some gret critters IMO. Luxray, Dusknoir, Pachirisu, Piplup, Chimchar. Come on, those guys are great. Plus, Sinnoh is such great eye candy in Giratina and the Sky Warrior. That movie was great, by the way. WoF knows.

I gave all my Pokemon cards away to this little boy and his sister at a garage sale, I felt like a good person at the time, but now I kind of miss the cards.

My favourite attack was always surf, if you could get comprehensive data on all moves I'd ever used I have no doubt Surf would be acres above the rest.

Same. I always used that move with Blastoise on Red. Until one day I stupidly put all my strong Pokemon in box 1 to train up some weak ones and the game wiped the entire box, (Damn you Missingno).

Surf was cool.

Espeon is the best Eevee evolution for sure, although Flareon and Glaceon come close.

They wanted an Ekans for it, but at the time I didn't have an Ekans. I'm not sure why, but it would be pretty badass to have a level 100 Caterpie or Weedle... Even though their stats would be a-bit... bad.
