Low poly mesh with normal map and very basic diffuse.

STM 02-05-2010 11:51 PM

As always looks good, does a low poly count mean less pixels?

Fartuess 02-06-2010 02:14 AM

less triangles.

STM 02-06-2010 02:30 AM

ohhh I understand, and this changes quality?

MeechMunchie 02-06-2010 03:32 AM

If you have higher poly you can make smoother curves.

Grieva 02-06-2010 07:55 AM

What area's that support from? I don't recognise it

Fartuess 02-06-2010 09:08 AM

@Grieva

Grieva 02-06-2010 10:30 AM

thought that might be it, needs more rivets

Crashpunk 02-08-2010 11:07 AM

Im still amazed how the heck do you make the modals so detailed!

Fartuess 02-08-2010 12:01 PM

They aren't detailed in fact. Not that much as models of proffesional artists (achieving that level is my target). I'm trying to create hight poly models, but it still doesn't convince me, but i think that i'm moving forward. I learned how to create textures for more complex models, so i next few weeks probably i will made some major updates :)

I want to show you one screen with one minor object added, but imageshack isn't work properly, so you'll have to wait (maybe in this time i will have more to show :) )

@Grieva

Thanks for that screenshot which is showing that part beetwen those two doors. I couldn't find it anywhere.

And rivets... I will add them later. Maybe in Zbrush.

STM 02-08-2010 12:02 PM

Well I see your work improving, you could become really really good, not that you aren't already of course ;) I certainly couldn't do this stuff.

Crashpunk 02-13-2010 12:47 AM

:

but imageshack isn't work properly.
Same. I've never liked Imageshack

Fartuess 02-13-2010 02:15 AM

this is that one screenshot from last week.

STM 02-13-2010 02:32 AM

I remember this bit =) Very true to life image!

Lord Stanley 02-13-2010 10:24 AM

That's a cool screenshot!

Fartuess 02-17-2010 11:11 AM

some minor details added. Sorry for not having much to show, but i'm studying procedural modeling and web design using joomla.

Grieva 02-17-2010 12:52 PM

looks really good man, nice work

Fartuess 02-26-2010 06:30 AM

saw model is extended by engine, cables and some minor details.

... and btw. Please remove that crappy drawing from top left corner of forum...

STM 02-26-2010 08:35 AM

ooooh deathly!

Grieva 02-27-2010 12:25 AM

Looks really good, is it animated? and are you adding anymore tubes?

enchilado 02-27-2010 12:32 AM

This is absolutely fabulous. I love the meat-saw :D

Fartuess 02-27-2010 10:36 AM

Updated textures

STM 02-28-2010 12:08 PM

the one on the right is very amazing!

Fartuess 03-02-2010 05:11 AM

STM 03-02-2010 07:27 AM

Looks very true to game

Fartuess 03-03-2010 11:28 AM

I have just created better textures for this model.

Fartuess 03-18-2010 02:46 AM

Ok. I've created better barell texture. I looks a way nicer than old one. Also post process effect has been added.

It isn't very complex post process effect. Just color modifier (for highlights and midtones), and depth of field effect.

Q-Ball 03-18-2010 03:54 AM

Wow man awesome work! Really great!

STM 03-18-2010 12:55 PM

The difference is quite a diference, wow!

Crescent 03-18-2010 04:13 PM

Smashing idea:catslug:

Is unreal hard to learn?
