I think that terrorism is a problem more due to hype then the act itself. Once you understand that, you can instantly understand a lot of other things, and you can view the world with a lot more clarity.

I dunno what I am in regards to left or right wing. I have some right wing views but I sure have plenty left wing views too. For instance I approve poll tax, the right to defend yourself in your own home/capital punishment, free speech regardless of political corectness nonsense, and restrictions on immigration on grounds of overpopulation, yet I'm 100% for gay marriage/adoption, national health/education systems, freedom of religious faith provided it infringes upon nobody else's wellbeing, the choice of euthanasia, and treating every crime case individually rather than following particular stringent laws (the whole lawful killing/mitigating circumstances type stuff).

Socially left wing, sure.

I think that being gay, and realistic about who is going to allow you to live your life as you choose would certainly make you gravitate towards the left wing.

What OANST said. There's a possibility that being gay makes you more sympathetic to other disparaged or unpriveleged sector of society but that's by no means universal.

I also love how the majority of closeted politician stories are are about Republicans.
