WHAT! Did you just ask who Elum is?!?

Oddguy, your riddle has to do with Oddworld, right?
I have no idea. This is a toughie.

Nate 12-27-2005 10:33 PM

Easy, it's Abe's moon.

Here goes, my first attempt at a riddle (with obvious inspiration from Oddguy):

I'm in you, but you're in me.
So we make great company!
Don't moan or groan, you're not alone;
Abe can cure you from the bone.

Cullen Heath 12-27-2005 10:45 PM

It must be Spirit Rings, because Abe holds them inside him, but then they keep spreading out, making him inside them. Plus they heal sick Mudokons from Soulstorm Brew.

Blind mudokons?

OANST 12-28-2005 06:34 AM

It's obviously Soulstorm Brew.

Dark Elite_H2 12-28-2005 06:37 AM

:

Oh, I love it!
Can't I just keep you begging a little longer??? No. Awwwww fine:crying:

Okay, the answer is...........*drumroll*..................................Abe's Stitches.

.........WHAT!?
I didn't get it....

big bro boogie 12-28-2005 06:42 AM

It's obviously Soulstorm Brew.

Ofcourse! Why didn't I see that.
"I'm in you, but you're in me."

Edit:
:

.........WHAT!?
I didn't get it....

Because it's a vague riddle.

During my life,
I have saved a hero.
I held his breath,
From possible death.

The stiches didn't save him. And I don't get why they held his breath from possible death... But meh.

Dark Elite_H2 12-28-2005 06:51 AM

Me neither. And yer explanaition din't help nething at all...

metroixer 12-28-2005 06:53 AM

Native mudokons? They all look the same.

EDIT: Woops sorry I was on the 4th page. Well hm...I say it's....Mudokon spirits? Or maybe even a....Ghost lock?

Dark Elite_H2 12-28-2005 06:54 AM

Possesion? Abe's possesion?

OANST 12-28-2005 08:03 AM

Well, Abe's mother did stitch his leaps to keep the glukkons from killing him. It works.

Cullen Heath 12-28-2005 08:15 AM

Thank you ^ Old And Not So Tasty.

I dont know what the hell is with the rest of you, of course his stitches saved him from dying.

Wil 12-28-2005 08:16 AM

The Glukkons stitched Abe's lips together to prevent him from talking, just like all Mudokons in RuptureFarms. Abe was unhatched when he was taken from Sam. I applaude your attempt at logic, though, cullen.

Cullen Heath 12-28-2005 08:23 AM

Damn it! HOW do you know all this! Normally I would agree with you 100%, but this time I disagree.

Icarus 12-28-2005 08:28 AM

dude, he's max he knows everyhing. anywayz it's gotta be the birds that are "in him". besides when abe dies the birds flee from his body.

Xavier 12-28-2005 08:52 AM

never contradict Max on his knowledge on Oddworld.
You'll alway be proven wrong.

Cullen Heath 12-28-2005 09:02 AM

How do you know all this stuff though, max?

I need to do some studying.

Icarus 12-28-2005 09:04 AM

it could only be 2 things, either he reads or he is making it up (which i doubt)

OANST 12-28-2005 09:44 AM

The Glukkons did not stitch Abe's lips. I'm really surprised that you don't know that. That is the OFFICIAL POSITION from Lorne Lanning. He gave this explanation multiple times. Including on telivision. The riddle does make sense.

Wil 12-28-2005 09:49 AM

Yeah, no one ever thinks I'm making it all up. Hee hee hee! Uh, by which I mean: I suppose the main reason I seem to know so much is that I pay attention and remember things accurately. Don't expect me to know exactly how to do that, though. :p

I don't remember Lorne himself ever having said anything on the subject. I Alf said his stitched lips are because of Abe crying as a baby, but we have to take what he says with a pinch of salt, especially considering it goes against both stated facts and direct observations. Point me to the right interview, then.

OANST 12-28-2005 09:56 AM

Watch the last G4 tv.com episode that Lorne was on. He said specifically that it was Sam that stitched Abe's lips to keep the glukkons from killing him.

Wil 12-28-2005 10:00 AM

I can't do that. I do know Abe was hatched in RuptureFarms, where Sam isn't. They've never come into contact. Under what kind of conditions was Lorne giving that information? A live interview?

OANST 12-28-2005 10:04 AM

Yup. It was live. But seeing as it was the deepest explanation he has given to the origin of the stitched lips I'm not going to fall back on a theory of him being pushed into a corner or rushed to answer. He answered immediately and in an almost confidential tone. Sorry, man. It is what it is.

Wil 12-28-2005 10:10 AM

Then that leaves a mystery. We already had an official explanation. It's not the first time there's been more than one official explanation for something. There are at least four for why there are Scrab herds in Munch's Oddysee.

The Mudokons' missing finger aside, could this be the first case of retconning on Oddworld? When was this interview?

Cullen Heath 12-28-2005 10:14 AM

Man, this is a trip.
Max have you watched it yet?
OANST, Why cant I find it, can you give me instructions on how to find it?

OANST 12-28-2005 10:23 AM

I watched it when it aired. This was about a month after SW came out. This was the interview where he was giving away Art of OI books to callers which were signed by him and Sherry. They had not made the shutdown announcement yet.

Wil 12-28-2005 10:24 AM

No, I've already said I can't. I don't know where it is, either.
