Weird doesn't really cover it.

Phylum 06-20-2013 04:24 PM

Someone needs to realise that into a work of art.

MeechMunchie 06-20-2013 06:55 PM

I looked on Google for 'shoppable images, but there aren't any of the "Fly, my pretties" moment with a monkey's face visible.

Vyrien 06-21-2013 03:32 AM

I could only find one.

Unfortunately the res isn't the best so here's a bonus to make up for it.

Am I the only person feeling really uncomfortable right now?

Jbot123 06-21-2013 05:46 AM

STM 06-21-2013 06:04 AM

That first picture in particular, is simply glorious.

Nate 06-21-2013 04:50 PM

Anyway. Whatever. Back on topic.

Fred The Fuzzle 08-02-2013 10:18 PM

Other than the brief description given in 'The Art of Oddworld Inhabitants', is there any other information on Ma'Spa?

Jbot123 08-04-2013 03:51 AM

It's the breeding pools of the gabbits complete with ancient temple, and I'm not sure about this, but I think that it flows into the Mongo river.

Nice.

I heard it's where the final battle between Abe and Molluck's mechsuit happens.

Bullet Magnet 08-04-2013 07:40 AM

Well, Molluck's mechsuit, anyway. Abe possesses a few trees

Jbot123 08-04-2013 01:26 PM

Well, cactuses actually cuz da western environment
@beeguy The book was in a box somewhere and I didn't want to get it out and look for the description and read it and compare it to my post and I'm so sorry.
Oh wait cacti are trees.

Oh wait cacti are trees.

I'll let BM field this one.

Jbot123 08-05-2013 04:45 AM

Some types of cacti are considered trees, ja.

MeechMunchie 08-05-2013 09:27 AM

Name two.

Vyrien 08-05-2013 11:28 AM

And here I was convinced that they were succulents.

Name two.

Carnegiea Gigantea and Trichocereus pasacana DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU DEFINE AS A TREE, meet the requirements. Thanks, google.

Bullet Magnet 08-06-2013 08:58 AM

There is no universally recognised precise definition of the word "tree," neither in botany nor common language.

there's nothin' succulent about cacti. too spiky.

Nepsotic 08-06-2013 12:08 PM

Have you ever eaten one? They're succulent as hell.

Jbot123 08-06-2013 03:47 PM

Has anybody else had cactus juice soda, or is it just in Arizona?

Slog Bait 08-06-2013 03:49 PM

No, it's available in Southern Nevada and SoCal, too. Possibly even New Mexico.

Nate 08-06-2013 04:11 PM

Get back on topic, please.

STM 08-24-2013 07:51 AM

Here's a wee question for Wil.

I can't remember if this has been asked before, and if so, whether an answer was given. I did have a quick search but couldn't find an answer.

Are there any plans for a collector's edition/ hard copy of NnT? I'd love to get a blown up map of Oddworld and some cards or something. >>

Wil 08-26-2013 01:14 AM

We've certainly put thought into it, but at the end of the day it's a very expensive operation that we don't have the backing for. If we had a physical distributor with the existing infrastructure, that at least would be something. We'd still like to see it, so maybe we'll come up with something.

Havoc 08-26-2013 01:54 AM

Isn't there an option to start a kickstarter campaign for it or something? I would love some limited edition Oddworld stuff as well.

STM 08-26-2013 02:10 AM

Well whatever you can do. I hadn't really thought about the constraints an indie publisher might face with that sort of thing. Well it's nice to know you've thought about it, even if you cannae make any limited edition copies.

Do you mean the manufacturing infrastructure or the distribution infrastructure? If the latter, maybe take a look at what Telltale do: they sell digital copies through a whole bunch of services, plus both digital and physical copies (and merch) through their website.
