If you'd set that to Autoplay I'd probably have to kill you.

Bullet Magnet 12-01-2010 02:30 PM

A day in the life of Molluck's Assistant 2: Bullet Magnet comes to visit, fucks shit up.

Mr. Bungle 12-01-2010 03:40 PM

I won't post this picture in this thread cause it's a fucking screen-stretcher, but look at it anyways:

All life evolved from that bloke waiting for the bus.

If you haven't heard about Team Meat vs. PETA (Unfortunately not People for the Eating of Tasty Animals), you must have been living under a rock for the past few days. If OANST was a company, this would be him.

The conflict condensed:
PETA: This game is horrible. Making fun of butchery is not right.
TM: But he's not made of animal meat. He's just a boy born without skin.
PETA: Shush, we're trying to get publicity. Step one: Make a half-arsed parody called "Tofu Boy", which incidentally we spent more money on producing than the original game.
TM: Hey, thanks! First publicity in which everyone reasonable will see us as the good guys, and now a game showcasing the main ideas behind ours!
PETA: You're all horrible people, you and your foul logic.

And this is where we are today:

Remember, Meat is murder. Tasty, tasty murder.

Mr. Bungle 12-02-2010 09:43 AM

That was fucking awesome. Go Meat Boy, I can't stand PETA.

OANST 12-02-2010 09:50 AM

TEAM MEAT has announced that they are updating the pc version to make Tofu Boy a playable character. Mull that over.

Mr. Bungle 12-02-2010 09:55 AM

And us console gamers don't get it?

Blasphemy.

OANST 12-02-2010 09:59 AM

Mull that over.

MeechMunchie 12-02-2010 11:33 AM

Could it be that consoles are, y'know, rubbish?

YES, DAMMIT

OANST 12-02-2010 11:35 AM

Mull that over.

Those are really only funny if someone actually died.

MA 12-02-2010 12:37 PM

yeah. mull that over.

fucking memes.

MeechMunchie 12-02-2010 12:54 PM

'Mull that over' just filled my criteria for a meme in that very post.

It has to have been used more than three times across more than one thread by more than one member.

*Adds to meme list*

Wow, I should probably start actually making a list soon.

EDIT: Wait a minute, this is the same thread. For a second I thought we were in the Super Meat Boy one. Fail.

I was going to say something else SMB related here, but I've forgotten it now.

Mull that over.

Mr. Bungle 12-02-2010 01:04 PM

Shit, I thought this was the Meat Boy thread, too.

ziggy 12-02-2010 04:48 PM

An entry for a 43 second movie festival

Nate 12-03-2010 03:05 AM

Surely the entrants to the 'festival' are meant to be... you know... good?

ziggy 12-03-2010 07:56 AM

yeah.....'yeah'

Those are really only funny if someone actually died.

That's... quite morbid.

The following is a flute. #81 of ~122 crystal Glass flutes produced by Claude Laurent. I wish I had the money to buy this because they're very, very rare these days.

I find that interesting, at least.

OddjobAbe 12-04-2010 02:10 AM

You should learn to play this on the flute.

Phylum 12-04-2010 02:23 AM

Great expression. Generally amazing dynamics.

Lots of bad things in the performance. Generally ariy sound took a lot out of it for me. A couple of times she surged. Her high notes were poor. Her low notes cracked.

I wish there was a recording of Georges Barrere playing that on his platinum flute. (The piece was writen for him to play on the first platinum flute hence the name).

OddjobAbe 12-04-2010 02:34 AM

Yes, I remember reading about that a few years ago. The Complete Works of Edgard Varèse Volume 1 has a good performance of that on it, and so does the Decca Complete Works of Edgard Varèse. It might be worth listening to those if you haven't done already.

Dynamithix 12-04-2010 10:12 AM
