Catchy to sing along to isn't it ;) |
|
We should have played this at the London student riots so the government might realise that they bent over and fucked every student in England about uni fees.
|
This is just beautiful. They sang this at Glastonbury just as the sun was setting across from the Pyramid. It was career-defining.

MCR is fucking gay.
|
Yup. I used to like them when that album came out, however. Don't know what I was thinking. They do have a pretty good guitar player, though.
Great album |

To offset my poor taste, have some Rodrigo y Gabriela: |

I think this is my favourite Devin Townsend song... on this album
And that speaks volumes. \ It really upsets me that his talents aren't more widely recognized than they are. Really. IT'S JUST MEEEEEEAAAWOOOOOAHHH |

And now I'm going to say why I think it's a great song, possibly the best song he's ever written; It's a ballad, but a ballad done right. A song you could have at your wedding for a first dance with the bride and groom but still maintaining the Devin sound, not to mention that it's completely drug free (like all of his post-SYL music.) The solo isn't wanky but still quick, it adds to the song to give it a more unspoken depth of emotion and just sits on the background music perfectly. And during the singing near the end, the barely audible solo layered underneath just near brings a tear to your eye, but yeah, a real ballad. |
That song's great, yeah. It sounds like something out of a musical/Disney film.
It's no The Fluke or Earth Day, but it's good. Like every song on Terria. |
Going through a 90's phase again. |
I'm still having trouble adjusting to the fact that the '90s is history now.
I got the 40th Anniversary compilation of The Old Grey Whistle Test. It's just a nice chunky selection of classics. I heartily recommend to anyone who feels their day does not incorporate enough rocking out. Anyway you be aware that I was on holiday for a while, so here is a random selection of songs that I enjoyed on my iPod. Why is it that classic songs only exist on YouTube in the form of dumb animations, stupid slideshows, embedding-disabled videos, weird pitch-distorted versions, user covers or badly spelt lyrics? Have these people never heard of album art? Do me a favour and look at something else while the first one's playing. |
I don't know how many of you are Five Finger Death Punch fans, but they released a new single today. It's pretty fucking good.
|
New Opeth song. Kind of reminds me of King Crimson and Tool. I like it. |

The Ensemble Modern always do such a fucking fantastic job. |
|
|
I don't think I've ever laughed at a guitar instructional DVD until I seen that Townsend has one. Christ almighty it's fucking hilarious, he's such a goofball. |
So... Grotesque records have released i think.... all if not most of the stuff they have made so far... For streaming.

The magic begins at 4:44 ;)
|
I think you mean 7:02 ;)

Indica's a Finnish band. I hate their music though.
|
Whenever ever I mention Indica to people, a music band is not the first thing they think of...

Here's another Finnish band where the magic begins at 0:00. |
The best Finnish band that I know |
