Got the original Counter-Stike in the sale, need I tell you all about it?
That game used to frustrate the hell out of me!
I got Bioshock for my 360 today. It was on sale for $12 AUS and I couldn't pass it down. I'm really liking the story so far!

I just got Strangers Wrath!
Did it hurt?
Oh you. What do you mean did it hurt?
Is there anything you can take for it?

Been playing a lot of different games lately. Tried Rayman Origins, thought it was fun, but some of it got frustrating. Enjoyed the co-op with Dorian, though. Playing Disney Universe with Dorian now. It's horribly easy, but playing through some old Disney movie levels is pretty fun, and the costumes are cute.
And Skyrim, always Skyrim. I also harassed Dynamithix via xbox live. He did not seem amused. |
I was just a bit sleepy, it was 3AM or something. Next time I'll accidentally send you a party invite, I'll stay to talk.
Anyways, the local Gamestop had some alright deals and I bought Rage for 9,80€. For that price I gladly bought it. The graphics are nice but the colours are quite dull. I was a bit confused 'cause I didn't know it was on three discs. Three discs for a game that is roughly 20 hours long if even that? |

VVVVVV.
It was a lot easier than I was expecting, I'll say that. Or maybe I'm actually good at something. The flipping quickly became instinctive and I eventually stopped looking for the 'Jump' button. Got all twenty Trinkets (and found that weird elephant) without too much trouble, bar the Tower ones and the Warpzone one with the Pac-man things in it. That one was torture. I was pleasantly surprised by the exploration elements, as I was expecting a more straight-up linear challenge a la Meat Boy, but Viridian falling through space with his perpetual cheery smile was a joy. My favourite levels were definitely the trip-laser ones, bouncing gleefully around obstacles, looking really skilled despite pretty much just holding down directonal arrows. The retro design, soundtrack and characters all added to the cutsey feel and made it comfortable to play. Overall, 7.3/10. Also, COMBINE!!! |

That's why CS:GO comes into play. But what should I get it for? PS3 OR XBOX 360? :fuzconf: If only I had a good working PC. I guess I could try Onlive. :D |
If it's for a console I'd go with xbox 360, all the FPS games I play that weren't on PC I played on Xbox 360 (Moar like XBAWKS 360 miright).
I could't imagine playing any form of CS on console. I'd be horrible at it. Need my keyboard and mouse for FPS games.
:
hehehe |
If only there was a way to enable Keyboard and mouse support, then I'd spend my days killing every Xbawks player I can. apparently for Team Fortress 2 the networks are bi-platform meaning xbox players can play with PC players and vise versa, although I don't know if that's true or not.
I just think shooters are generally better on PC, especially ones created by Valve. Might sound a bit obsessive, but that's how I play them. I own the orange box on PC and PS3, and hardly ever play the latter. I don't think I've ever finished Half-Life 2 for PS3 before, but have dozens of times on PC.
Orange Box on PS3 is said to be awful.
The only ones I hate on the Xbox 360 are portal and Team Fortress 2, Half-Life 2 is somewhat bearable but I still wouldn't recommend it.
Why do you hate Portal on the 360?
Portal is the only game on my PS3 copy of Orange Box that I actually completed. You don't need a mouse to aim portals.
I was completely fine with both Portal and HL2 on the Xbox 360. In fact, I prefer using a controller because keyboard and mouse can get really fiddly for me.

I could never finish HL2 on the PS3. Something about the aim just felt weird, so I ended up wasting all of my ammo and having to complete Ravenholm with only a crowbar. It could just have been me, though.
Anyway, mouse and keyboard v. controller is a stupid discussion. It varies too heavily on the person and the genre. Hell, it even depends on the individual games and the way they handle the input. |

I like both. No real preference, I just think certain game companies can only make good PC games (Valve (to an extent) and Blizzard, to be specific).
Companies like Nintendo or Microsoft on the other hand tend to drift towards console games, as well as a slew of third-party companies, and ones such as Bethesda who will put there game anywhere as long as it gets sold. So yeah. I'm pretty neutral, just think certain games just work better on console/PC. |
