Foreshadowing. It's a very well-known method of creating intrigue without giving the plot elements away.

MeechMunchie 04-12-2011 04:01 AM

Poor execution. It's a very well-known method of cocking up foreshadowing.

I am astounded why anyone could be confused by Inception. Everything was straightforward and on the table from the offset and there was never any question of what was going on until the intentially open to interpretation ending.

enchilado 04-12-2011 05:16 AM

At numerous times during the movie people acted in completely unrealistic ways and there were weird coincidences and just generally unexplained stuff. It was mostly that which had me confused, because I figured there must be some reason for it.

Wings of Fire 04-12-2011 05:19 AM

Like when?

Examples please.

Manco 04-12-2011 05:51 AM

People acted unrealistically in a movie about dream-burglars? Do tell.

Same here. Everybody was hyping it up before I saw it, saying it was so confusing and hard to understand. When I finally did see it, I understood it perfectly, so I thought that I had missed something.

I stopped reading at "movie people".

If you stop reading every time someone misplaces a comma on these forums, you're not gonna get through many posts.

T-nex 04-13-2011 01:35 AM

That's why he doesn't post a lot anymore.

MeechMunchie 04-13-2011 01:41 AM

I'd just like to point out that I wasn't confused by Inception. I just think it was poorly written.

Hazel-Rah 04-13-2011 02:00 AM

Tron Legacy again, for like the fifth time, I love that movie but they could've tried harder to make it look like an 80s video game.

Mac Sirloin 04-13-2011 08:58 AM

I liked Inception, but not enough to understand why nerds are still arguing about it.

Because how can this thing be popular when I don't like it!? It's overrated dreck you guys! Sheeple!

Wings of Fire 04-13-2011 02:39 PM

Sheeple is the second most amazing word I'm positive you've made up.

ziggy 04-13-2011 02:53 PM

I don't like Inception either. Am I a non-conformist now?

Wings of Fire 04-13-2011 02:57 PM

Yes. You're an unapologetic hipster with scene tendencies.

I wish. I picked it up from xkcd, back when I read that piss.

You're kidding, right? The word 'Sheeple' has been kicking around for years, if not decades.

I watched Punisher last night.

It's my favourite Marvel film, funnily enough.

Mac Sirloin 04-14-2011 04:02 AM

War Zone is better.

Dynamithix 04-14-2011 05:06 AM

I thought the first one was a bit better.

Dynamithix 04-16-2011 09:49 AM

I just saw Office Space for the first time. I can't believe I missed out on this. It was hilarious and I was wondering where that printer scene was from, haha. Really good.

Mr. Bungle 04-16-2011 12:33 PM

I fucking love that movie. It's one of my favourites. My mother's boss actually looks almost identical to Lumbergh, it's pretty funny. He's not a giant douche, though.

So me and my boyfriend just watched "Rubber" (Yeah not the most romantic movie you could be watching). Some of you might have heard about this but for those who haven't the plot is simple. There is a rubber tire that kills people and he must be stopped. Sounds crazy? Yeah take my word. The entire movie is just weird. But goodness me it seriously was one of the best films I have ever seen. So why does a tire kill people? no reason. Why is the guy wearing the glasses suddenly alive at the end of the movie? no reason

(You will understand the references with the questions once you have seen the movie)

SERIOUSLY GUYS YOU GOTA CHECK IT OUT. IT WAS AWESOME. Only cost me £9.99 at HMV. Honestly go buy it. You will not be disappointed. For those who are curious. You can check out the trailer on youtube

Wings of Fire 04-16-2011 01:47 PM

Why is the rubber tire a he?

JennyGenesis 04-16-2011 06:29 PM

No reason

(Go watch it and you'll understand the joke)

Dynamithix 04-17-2011 01:51 AM

(I might watch it to understand the joke)

JennyGenesis 04-17-2011 03:18 AM

(You must watch it to understand the joke because it was one of the funniest films I have ever seen)

Strike Witch 04-17-2011 05:34 AM

I heard it was a piece of arrogant hipster trash.
