He tends to do that anyway.

I suspect there is a relative deficiency of 3D in those games, AiN.

SpooceShrubs are the subaerial organs of a plant that contains a liquid called Spook Juice, or Spooce. Spooce is a physical thing, a psychotropic chemical substance that the Mudokons believe creates a stronger connection between the conscious mind and the spirit world. Its use is of course banned in industrialized society, but the Mudokons would never dream of banning a plant.
If people don't believe this, then my select few instances of bullshitting have come back to bite me. I think the point Taco was trying to make was that it's the formation of the Possession Orb that requires Spooce. Before MO, Abe could only possess the creature closest to him. The Possession Orb allows him to take control of a creature of his choosing, and at a much greater distance than before. |

Yep, it's exactly that, but it has some spiritual properties.

Hey guys, I'm new, and I have a question. In Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, the newspaper keeps mentioning the gluk queen. Who is that? Will we meet her in a future game? Does she run all the glukkon factories? Sorry if this has been answered already, but you shouldn't expect me to read the entire topic.
|
We don't expect you to read the entire topic. We expect you to read parts I to VI in addition to this one.
Queen Margaret, aka Maggie, is the Glukkon Queen (a biological designation rather than royal, as far as I know) who is the acting head of the Magog Cartel, the mega-corporation that owns all the Glukkon-run companies we've seen so far (Vykkerz Labs and Sekto Springs are part of the larger Vykkerz Conglomerate and an unnamed Oktigi corporation respectively, possible Sekto Industries). The true president of the Magog Cartel is Queen Maggie's own grandmother, currently in suspended animation to halt the progress of the Gorman Disenza disease she has contracted, a terminal illness that only the exceedingly wealthy (and for some reason Gabbits) can contract, until a cure can be found (or she is desperately needed to bail out her descendants). |
Lady Margaret isn't the head of the Magog Cartel. Even her grandmother is but a pawny fraction of the Cartel's true extent.
|
God damn, I thought the Cartel itself was a puny fraction of the Industrial market share.
|
That may also be true.

Or Uguaya State, or whatever. |
What I want to know is not necessarily what the Khanzumerz are, but what they do - I mean, do they have jobs and earn their own Moolah etc? Or is it just big companies fighting each other for the most profit?
Is Khanzumerz a term? For example Sligs have to buy food and drink to live, so are they Khanzumerz? Unfortunately, none of you will be able to answer this. Indeed, Lorne himself may not even know. |
I'm pretty certain Lorne knows.
Whether he's changed his mind on what it means in past, or will again in the future, is immaterial. Only rarely has his mind-changing affected the knowledge we already had at our disposal. |
I remember seeing a RAR of all the music from AO and AE sometime in the distant past. Does anyone know where I could acquire something like that? Also, the mustc from SW. I didn't care much for MO...

Oh excellent Max thanks. I looked on OWL...but... I didn't look hard enough I guess
|
Ok, question:
I've heard that in Oddworld: Abe's Oddysey if you kill all of the mukodons (sp?) you get infinite grenades cheat to use. Anyone know if this is true? Is it worth beating the game again to kill them all for this cheat? I know if you save 50 or less, you get the bad ending. more than 50 you get the good ending, 99 is same as good ending but with FMV's Thanks! |
It's true, I got it once, but you don't have to kill all the 99 Mudokons (you must save some Mudokons to open doors, getting Shrykull power, ect) but about 80, I don't remember exactly how many. You are sure you can kill the Mudokons you don't need to help you.

I think that M.O.M is the biggest cartel in the markets on oddworld, remember oddworld is big and we don't know what life is like off mudos. Does this mean then that there are other glukkon queens on other continents, like my bee colonies, one queen per hive, no intruders just one super family.
|
:
|
We don't even know that the Vykkers Conglomarate isn't part of the Magog Cartel.
Scrabtrapman, M.O.M. is just a news programme. |
:
|
Well I just assumed since Magog Cartel is known about for longer and a conglomerate is two or more businesses that are entirely different i.e pharmecutical and meat packaging.
|
Who do you think is responsible for most (if not all) the Magog's technology?
|
Well, most of it is VC yes, I'm guessing they need a workforce so theire slaves are housed in room 1029 are they not? I say this because perhaps in a trade with VC they provide slaves for meds and tech
|
"I'ma need an ass the size of a truck to fit this wallet."
Wait... hang on... where do Glukkons keep their wallet? |
In their internal pockets. They strip to pay money.
EDIT: Removed the logical answer, as it defied logic :p |
