Sometime I question my musical taste. This is one of those times...

Sometime I question your existence. This is one of those times...

MeechMunchie 05-15-2010 08:55 AM

Sometimes I question my abiltity to follow combos. Now is not one of those times, unfortunately.

OANST 05-15-2010 08:59 AM

Sometimes I question why I still come here. This isn't one of those times.

God, I had completely forgotten about The Dicks. How terrible of me.

I bought Night Train, Keane's new album. They're a band who don't like retreading old ground, so they were bound to lose their footing eventually. Only half of the 7-1/2 songs sound like Keane. The rest sound like the deformed hybrid of Muse, Coldplay and some rapper who sounds like a side dish for curry. This album was made to please everyone except their fans. Tom Chaplin struggled with depression and drugs, so now their only way to claw back into public view was to make some generic-o-rama. I just hope they can get back to their old, guitar-free ways next time.

Nice artwork though.

i had Keane: Perfect Symmetry. i just listened to Spiralling, to be honest. i still need to listen to the whole album properly.

MeechMunchie 05-18-2010 08:37 AM

All the albums sound different, so I'd say it's worth looking them all up on YouTube. I'd say that anyway, since I'm a die-hard Keane fan.

Listening to nothing but The Juke Bottle Casino and kwwr.

Inspirationally fucking weird music.

OANST introduced me to this cool band a couple of weeks ago called Fleet Foxes and I think I like them enough to start legally listening to them.

Oh, my. Look what I have done.

At least there is halfway decent music being posted here now. LETO ISN'T THE ONLY ELITIST MUSIC SNOB HERE. I'VE JUST BEEN KEEPING MY MOUTH SHUT.

Bad Religion 30 Years Live Album.

Mmmm, Lords of Acid. I've tried a few times to listen through Lust in its entirety. No luck yet, but those 30 minutes before I throw in the towel are a hoot.

Holy fuck are you serious goddamnit

Disgruntled Intern 05-22-2010 08:58 AM

I know you're not talking to me.

OANST 05-22-2010 09:00 AM

Nope. Talking to the mongoloid who posted 3 Doors Down.

Ridg3 05-23-2010 01:12 PM

Allow me to redeem myself then O lord of refined musical taste...

OddjobAbe 05-24-2010 07:34 AM

That's just made it worse.

Damn you OJA...it's not your approval I'm looking for :D

OANST 05-24-2010 09:56 AM

Well, I don't particularly like Buckethead, but it's a damn sight better than 3 Doors Down.

Hazel-Rah 05-24-2010 10:31 PM

IMO this is one of those instances where a cover band is superior to the original

Hobo 05-25-2010 03:26 AM

Bluegrass covers sustained me throughout my finals revision. Also; The Thing That Should Not Be is a shit song anyway.

PalezQkkeli 05-25-2010 09:22 AM

Somehow I like this song even IF it is worn out..

Ridg3 05-25-2010 10:36 AM

R.I.P Paul Gray...all the musical greats are dropping like flies.
