Oh shit, yeah, meant Repo Chick, see, it's that bad, I couldn't correctly remember the title.
I apologise. |
that isn't good enough.
grovel. |
All this talk of films titled “Repo ___” makes me wonder what the popular opinion is on Repo: the Genetic Opera.
Because it annoyed the shit outta me. |
It was alright.
I loved it, it was very cool and Anthony Head as the Repo Man was one of the best most bizarre performances I've ever seen a soft spoken Englishman step into. Alexa Vega was pretty great as well, though her singing was a little out of place with, well, a bunch of adults. I felt like it ran a little too long, but it was a musical so you get what you pay for.
I'm going to the cinema later to watch 'Battleships', mostly because I'm a sci-fi nerd and I'm curious how someone like Rihanna could star in such a film.
I liked Repo quite a bit.
It's fans are a different story. |
Watched through Arrested Development as a whole for the second time.
Holy shit, it gets even better the second time. Definitely some of the funniest, most off-the-wall comedy I've ever seen in a sitcom. And some of the sexual innuendos, word play, and background gags you don't even notice until the 2nd or 3rd viewing (Such as blue Tobias on the black of a bus - took me like three viewings to catch that), as well as just brilliant writing and a general mutual love for comedy from pretty much everyone on the cast and crew. If you haven't seen this show yet, you really gotta do yourself a favour. I still can't understand how it managed to get cancelled. Stupid FOX. |
I've been watching a lot Mad Men lately. The show kind of disturbs me. There is something about Don, and his personal crises of character that I identify so much with. It's the show's presentation of the characters that makes it so disturbing. The writers don't judge. These people do these things that are quite awful sometimes, but it's not written the way most shows write it. They do something shitty, and in the next scene they hold their child, and play with them. It's not like they came to some realization about their behavior. There's no epiphany. And yet, there they are being a loving parent, or just generally being a good person. These characters are complex. They may not all be deep, but they are all complex, and I love it as it depresses me.

I feel like Breaking Bad does a pretty good job of that, though more often than not it's limited to Walter White himself as most other characters are complete fucking bastards. I'm only on the 3rd season, but it seems like Jesse also seems to behave the same way specifically towards Walter, bitching him out one minute and trying to make sure he isn't hurt or whatever the next. Mad Men is a bit of a departure from BB, though.
Walter White is the main bastard in Breaking Bad, as you'll come to notice later in the series. He claims he does everything for his family, but in the end, it's just his inflated ego and sense of pride that make him keep doing the things he does. Throughout season 3 Walter just spirals down a tunnel of douchiness until a certain event happens that wakes him up and realizes he has to get over himself.
How far are you in the series, anyways? Things really start to pick up around the end of season 3, so if you feel things are getting stale, just keep at it. Season 4 is completely worth it. Also, on the topic of Mad Men, I've been watching that a lot lately. I'm only at the end of the first season, so I haven't fully realized the potential all the characters have to be assholes, but I can already see a few of the characters (Draper and Campbell, specifically) getting on my nerves in the future. In fact, most of the mad men themselves have a fairly skewered sense of morality and selfishness to them, and when they do something bad, you expect some kind of reconciliation or admittance of guilt, but it never happens. They just keep living their lives, but you can still feel that they are feeling the guilt in the back of their head. TV shows are great these days. |
I started watching Farscape. I didn't expect to enjoy it this much, as I normally don't like TV series of this kind.
At episode 3 now, but it's kept me sufficiently entertained :) Great humor and story so far. |
You should watch Lexx if you like Farscape. It's better. And it's fucking weird as hell.
I liked Farscape.
Then you should watch Lexx.
After I finish Farscape :D
No. When you finish Farscape, watch them all again.
When you finish Farscape feel bad about yourself for finishing Farscape.
What the hell is Farscape? I wanna watch it kind of.
When you finish Lexx you have a very long shower.
But it's a sexy kind of dirty you feel.
:
Anyway, Farscape is this. Pilot is the flat-headed guy at the back, in the pilot's seat. Pilot. http://images.fanpop.com/images/imag...46_957_764.jpg If you're actually interested, http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Series/Farscape |
I remember really liking the blue chick.
I remember vaguely wanting to bang the blue chick.
There's another blue chick, she was bald and scaly. Are you sure you're not thinking of her?
I liked both of them. I think I liked the bald one more as a character, but I definitely liked them both.
Oh, that was just a joke at OANST's expense.
Oh.
Uncomfortable. |
Why bother grilling WoF when he does it himself?
It makes the experience a bit less sad.
