I loved the idea of a game based around photography, but the platforming, racing and combat (basically everything that wasn't cutscenes, dialogue, photography or stealth) was just awful. Also, the graphics were nice at the time, but look a bit dated now.
|
I finally got around to playing the Dragon Age 2 demo.
It was great enough, even with so much restrictions. |
The concept of 'great enough' just strikes me as amusing.
|
Right now, Munch's Oddysee on PC. Fun, but I need to end it first, to get some reviews of it.

:
Or the demo was bad? Or both? |
Currently playing Pokémon White. My team so far is Conker the Patrat, Blake the Purrloin, Munchkin the Lillipup and Ganonpork the Tepig. Loving the game so far, but mixed feelings on the changes with finding rare Pokémon.
And they reverted the fix to "Hope to see you again soon!" from the Pokémon Center attendant. Yes, because we want your glorified dog-fighting tools to be harmed... Was playing the Traitor's Keep DLC for Fable 3 last night. Got glitched out of getting the Demon Door achievement, am kinda pissed off about that seeing as Lionhead have continually managed to release games that have game-breaking or game-ruining glitches (most of my Fable glitches have been related to children, funnily enough). Thankfully this glitch is something that a patch could likely easily fix. |
:
Gertrud the Sandile Lynette the fetus thing Biribiri the electro-zebra Kiba the doggy evolution Cammy the Simipour Just beaten the third gym leader, not that it isn't good before that, but it gets a lot better after. Also, rare pokemon changes? You mean Audino? That's a completely unique thing that's just there to farm massive amounts of exp. A level 19 one gave me 1200 exp last night. |
I just popped in my ol' Sims 2 for the original Xbox. I don't remember how I originally got it, but man, building a 4x4 house with nothing inside screws your sim up. It's fun to do that.

I'm going to be switching my names around once I get to Castelia, I realised Isidoros is a much better name for my Tepig, rather than my Pansage. Looking forward to progressing, have only just beaten the first gym but then I've been dallying about keeping my levels even and spending half my time trying to think of names for my Pokémon. I'm trying to keep the theme of gaming, including both tabletop and video gaming. Munna was difficult to name but I managed to think of a name thanks to the tabletop extension. Yeah, I'm kinda glad it's mostly just Audino, but it's annoying that I've yet to find one. I kinda want to catch one too. |
Thankfully, although incredibly frustrating to find, Audino have a very high catch rate. So just find your first one and catch it naturally and then pretend they don't exist.
|
I'm sad for losing interest in Pokemon games after Generation III. I played through Diamond, but it didn't do much for me; same goes for Heart Gold.
|
I might just get into Pokemon just for Aaken.
|
Game that I got: CreaVures
Game that I want: The Polynomial CreaVures is actually really fun and de-stressing. Havign a lot of fun controlling these little critters. Kinda reminded me of oddworld a bit, which is why I bought it. That and Im a sucker for cut things. I actually really recommend it. |
fuck ya'll that have pokemon already. I have to wait until tomorrow morning.
But it will be such a good morning |
I got mine on tuesday.
Legally, even. Yay for leaked shipments and independent retailers. |
:
On the other hand, I did try the demo of The Polynomial and found it overrated. The controls are a bit meh and I could never work out what the heck I was meant to be doing. |
:
Megaman, on the other hand... |
Right now, I'm playing Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike.
|
:
|
I actually don't like the original Megaman games. Battle Network is still the best.
Also, I forgot the part that made that whole post deliberately hypocritical. Now I just look stupid. |
:
I tried the demo too. I like colors though.. pretty colors :p But if it's any consolation, I had no idea what I was supposed to do either. |
If you want a music-based game, I heartily recommend Audiosurf.
|
Or ignore the whole fucking genre. Music games, the entire genre are shit, learn an instrument or gtfo.
|
:
|
Whoooole fucking genre MM, no exceptions, ever, apart from that flash game 'Music Catch 2' but that's it.
|
If you hate Audiosurf you hate music.
What about those dance simulator things? Everyone (drunk) likes those. |
I don't, when I'm drunk I smoke, I play beer pong, I give away secrets and I get on with friends, maybe laugh too much, dance simulators never come up.
I have no idea why I'm ranting about this, maybe because tomorrow I have an inevitable, unavoidable after school detention for something I might have done last year (cba -_-) but I digress, basically, take GH series for an example, it was easier for me to learn the guitar than it was to master Crazy Train on expert. |
:
Are you trying to be the next owf-troll or something? Or trying to be the next internet tough-guy? Really it's not working, and it makes you looks stupid. Cos we all know you're not tough. Music-games are just games that use music as an incorporation in their gameplay. It has nothing to do with instruments, jeez. It's for people who just like to interact with music in different ways. Anyway I've played Audiosurf of course. :) I own it. I love the game. |
I'm not trying to troll I just hate that genre of gaming with venom for some reason. And hey, I'm tough, I stubbed my toes just now and only cried for ten minutes! ^_^
|
I think Audiosurf will be one of the only successful music games. A music game has to make listening to the music an important part of gameplay. That's why Beat Hazard and Polynominal didn't work.
