I would assume it's the name of that status of Big Bro, just like "Big Whammy". Possibly a reference to its chosen combat tactic: spray bullets everywhere and pray they go where you want them to.

EDIT: I think I genuinely just scrolled past MM's post without reading it. Sorry, buddy. :(

I've got a business related question for Wil or Nate. Obviously the Magog Cartel is a collection of smaller companies, but how solid is the cartel? Obviously if you look at real life cartels, most fall apart after nine or 10 years because the opportunity to maximise supernormal profit outweighs the benefits of maintaining it. I would assume that even in Oddworld, basic psychology and game theory dictates that eventually the Magog Cartel would collapse in upon itself as individual glukkons break its laws for their own greedy purposes. Unless the MC is a new organisation and is currently very strong?

Given the articles Lorne links to on Facebook about how all the powerful businessmen in the world are colluding together to enslave the rest of us... he clearly believes there's something stronger than the desire to maximise supernormal profit.

Hi, i have a question about Abe's Oddysee, while i was back in stockyard, i recognised a flashing white dot. http://i46.tinypic.com/rhqudv.jpg

It can be clearly visible on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ua64JjhInEU at 0:23,
What's that ? Vykkers lab or something different ? I'm sorry if the question already exist. Thanks for help :D

EpiphanyDragon 02-07-2013 10:33 AM

There's one just like it on the previous screen as well. I think it may just be an animated star but I cant be sure.

Bullet Magnet 02-07-2013 10:53 AM

That must be the first post on this forum that could have been rendered entirely as a children's nursery rhyme.

Wil 02-08-2013 02:33 AM

Whut is star?

Varrok 02-08-2013 02:49 AM

I'm interested in what the dot directly above it is. I demand explanation

Vyrien 02-08-2013 02:51 AM

It's obviously a flock of migrating glowing geese.

STM 02-08-2013 07:45 AM

Don't be stupid.

It's Jesus.

Whut is star?

Me, clearly

Nepsotic 02-08-2013 11:00 AM

It's obviously Vykkers Labs, you simpletons.

Jbot123 02-08-2013 12:41 PM

A leprechaun that got shot out of a cannon whilst at a rave.

Nate 02-08-2013 05:00 PM

That's enough.

Jbot123 02-09-2013 04:52 AM

Why do I always get to the party right before it's over?

MeechMunchie 02-09-2013 05:35 AM

There's no nice way to answer that.

Nate 02-09-2013 07:15 PM

Did I just say that that was enough? I'm pretty damn sure I did.

For your information Jbot123, you don't always get to the party right before it's over. This time you got to the part 12 hours after it was over.

Jbot123 02-10-2013 06:19 AM

I assumed that was enough guessing what the thing was. Am I supposed to just know what the fuck you're talking about without you saying? I'm not fucking psychic!

Okay, I've taken my medication. Is Elboze Freely a cyborg or is he just wearing armor?

Nepsotic 02-10-2013 07:57 AM

That's enough.

Crashpunk 02-10-2013 08:57 AM

Bringing this thread on-topic. Here's a question relevant to that screenshot.

Seeing all the moons in skies of Stockyards, How many moons does Oddworld have? Are they even moons? Could they be planets?

Jordan 02-10-2013 10:08 AM

wellllll we know for definite two

i'm hoping for like 10 maybe

Josh 02-10-2013 05:28 PM

Isn't it one for each quintology hero?

Nate 02-10-2013 05:41 PM

Yeah, but there might be other moons in addition to the heroes' moons.

I always thought armour/mech suit, but I have a vague memory of someone proving me wrong on that one.

Slog Bait 02-10-2013 10:58 PM

You know, I have no qualms with an obscene amount of moons, but the whole fact that they probably all have the heroes "paw prints" some where on them kind of pisses me off. The moon with the mudokon paw on it was due to a meteor shower at some point before the Magog Cartel even existed, right? The rest are probably going to passed off as coincidence as well and it's just fucking stupid no matter how I look at it.

Then again, the quintology seems to have a weird boner for spiritual mumbo jumbo, coincidences, and destiny shit so I guess in the end it's excusable???

Nope it still just pisses me off

STM 02-10-2013 11:48 PM

I agree, I like Abe's Moon, you could put Munch's moon down to happenstance, or perhaps a bit of a running gag, but having three more hero moons is a bit much, unless they're small and the relation between the cratering image and the actual creature is so obscure that it's hard for anyone but those in the know to realise...

Jordan 02-11-2013 02:15 AM

I like the idea that all of the heroes receive some sort of spiritual symbol similar to Abe's paw print on the moon. I agree that all of the heroes shouldn't have a moon because it would become very silly.

Why does it have to be happenstance? It's not like the Quintology would be the first story to rely on fate as a narrative device.

Nepsotic 02-11-2013 03:27 AM

I like the idea, but aren't they milking it a bit now?

Jbot123 02-11-2013 04:01 AM

What if Squeek has no limbs?(don't answer) No moon, problem solved.

Phylum 02-11-2013 04:11 AM

Did you just answer your own rhetorical question?

Varrok 02-11-2013 05:08 AM

Yes, he did. Just like I answered yours.
