The Fuzzles actually don't look like they have very much hair at all in the realtime... Just a shape and brown coloring.

To clarify the Slig's speaking to Abe... this happens in AO and AE. Some of the Slig AI was glitched in AO, either intentionally or by accident... so not all of them talk to you.
There are certain Sligs in AE that have heavily scripted sequences which cannot be interrupted. So, while all of the "basic, non-spawned Sligs" will talk to Abe, the ones with a pre-determined script, will not. |
what image is this "native-glukkon" as i have both AO and AE on the pc but have never seen it before?
|
The stone face on the start-up screen when you start AO (the box that has the "intsall," "run," etc. options).
|

Why not just buy another copy from the internet? It's gotta be less than 5 USD.
|
:
People will argue that you need to purchase the game from a legitimate source so that those who worked hard on it get the money. However, considering how both companies involved in AO's production have gone under, the only person really getting that money is whatever individual is selling it to you. J_dude, though it is considered a breach of etiquette to talk so openly about pirating, I'm not going to shun you for it. This is a friendly forum (well, its supposed to be) and I try my best to avoid being judgemental. I'm sure your reasons for pirating it were sound, and even if they weren't, BFD. |
Perhaps I'm being elitist but I believe it isn't a smart move to publicly admit you pirated the game on a fan forum dedicated to it. It's not as if there weren't easy and cheap ways to get it that guaranties your money are going to the developers:
http://store.steampowered.com/sub/949/ On the other hand I'm not going to be an hypocrite, the first copies I ever owned of the Abe games weren't legal either :p BTW: The reason I haven't put up a picture of the autorun screen yet is simply because I'm not home at the moment. |
thank you and sorry i didnt mean to offend anyone
|
:
But if you have a legitimate copy, you can use a copy, it's perfectly legal. You just can't sell it or give it away. So it's the Seeders that are breaking the law. -- Does anyone have at least a low res screenshot of that installer image? I have never seen it before. Thanks. |
I cant think of any source where your purchase would still put money in the original developers' pockets. Maybe Amazon, but even there people are going to be buying it from individual Amazon sellers as opposed to the paying the full price for their stock. What I'm saying is, given the amount of distribution of the game over the years, there's almost no chance of the developers seeing any of that money at this point. You can find Abe's Oddysee for $2 at your local exchange if you're lucky, but it's not as if one of those two dollars goes to Lorne.
Stranger's Wrath and Munch's Oddysee, on the other hand, are still worth something to the developers and the respective companies they worked for at the time. :p Here is the mysterious statue. Sorry about the quality. |
Hmm. The shape of it seems to be a motif in AO. I remember seeing some wooden altars in Paramonia that looked kind of like it. It also sort of looks like an upside-down variation of the OWI logo.

|
Was Nod's Oddysee mentioned by a Oddworld Inhabitents member or was it a fan idea?
|
It was a fan idea, but I forget as to whether it was Nate's or Max's.
|
Thanks!
Another one: When will Munch's Oddysee: The Directors Cut be on the Oddworld Library? I must know the original story! |
I’m primarily responsible for propagating the idea of Nod’s Oddysee. It was from an interview long, long ago, 1999 or earlier, that no one’s ever been able to find back. So while there's no direct evidence that it was an Oddworld Inhabitant naming it as a Quintology character, I did believe I had read it back at the start of 2000.
Nothing new is going onto the Oddworld Library for the foreseeable future. |
Boy, did you propagate it. I'm pretty sure it was mentioned in a gaming magazine.
|
It’s my biggest contribution to Oddworld.
That and the thing about Scrab rocks. |
I KNEW you were makin' that up!

|
That was a deliberate attempt to destroy the Nod rumour?
|
No, I suspect I'd probably forgotten the Nod rumour when I wrote that. Anyone looking at the date of that post might make an assumption as to my intentions, but I'd forgotten that too. My goal really was just to see if I could make anyone believe me :D
|
:
|
Actually I did... but didn't say anything because I thought it looked cool. :p
|
will there be another game featuring molluck? if so, AWSOME!
plus, if scrabs fight when they see eachother, how do they mate, and if so, how do they exist!? |
Scrabs in the vaults and in the temples are either half-mad from being locked away, all Alpha Scrabs or all ready to mate. They coperate when in heards.
Molluck will return (if OWI make a new game), he's not dead.... |
is there history on the Steef?
