I'm not saying it needs it to look good, I just mean all other Oddworld stuff has had at least a basic level of shading, whereas this has none. Therefore, it seems unOddworldish to some people, I think.

Back when I said 'mild stuff' the term I was really looking for was pastel colours, something that most of those 50's ads made use of. That's where the big difference is, and it is notable, especially when compared to more modern stuff.
