I'm not envious. I feel betrayed. What's the opposite of treachery. Loyalty? He betrayed us through loyalty. I don't know how he managed it but he found a way, the bastard.
|
I think it's not as weird as you seem to suggest, and certainly not as weird as I feared it would be.
We're still friends. We can still hang out. |
Don't. Please. I wish it were so. But it is too late for us now. I'm sorry.
Your CDs are in the bag. |
If you need a shoulder to cry on, Marcus...
|
...it definitely won't be Wil's shoulder.
|
It'll be mine. I'll swoop in and protect the emotionally crippled BM and then he'll fall for me and it'll be just like the Greek romantic myths.
|
Unlikely. I'll be training for the Emoparalympics.
|
Team GB 2014: We put the "mope" in "emoparalympic"!

Good news if you can't make it to Eurogamer, the event will be streamed online: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/eu...loper-sessions

I'm always watching Eurogamer. I'm always watching...

Definitely a perfect end to the month and the weekend.
Might even be worth staying up a tad late to see it, what with the time zone difference down here. |
Well that was cool! Lorne did a lot of talking and a lot of explaining for what happened to Oddworld and OWI in the last 10 years and a lot of it certainly makes sense.
Also we finally know why the graphic for Mudokon Pops changed between AO and AE. Apparently there was some school kid in Japan who killed some other kid and put his head on a stick. So in good taste they changed it in the sequel, otherwise it probably would have stayed the same. Oh yeah, title has been announced and should come as no surprise: Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee New 'n' Tasty. Gameplay footage (PRE FUCKING ALPHA!) looked very awesome. The environments look great, Abe looks and sounds great and so do the sligs. I'm not thrilled about their walk cycle but that might change, who knows. Thanks everyone at JAW and OWI for the great presentation and information! |
Well, that footage completely passed my expectations, I even liked the new music!
|
Screenshots look great. Hope they put some little Exoddus titbits into Oddysee, like a few of the characters making little cameos etc.
|
For everyone who was bitching about Michael Bross doing the music, Gilray said at MudoCon that bar a few minor enhancements, the soundtrack is exactly the same. =D
Yay for nostalgia! |
If they add some new levels to the old ones this game will become a legend.

If I understood correctly, the in game cut-scenes will be real time, not CGI. I forget if anything was said about the intro and outro.
|
:
|
I think it will be interesting to see the cut-scenes in real time, whether or not it will be better I really can't say.
|
Real-time rendering now has better graphics than Toy Story. Hell, better than the original Oddworld FMVs.
|
I suppose it could work considering the game is 3D.

Is there any footage of the Q&A?
|
There is, but I don't know precisely what the filmers plan to do with the footage.
|
Are the filmers the same people who took all those photos of us? I recall having a group photo on the stage.
|
I think that was Dan, our PR guy, who took that picture.
|
I managed to film about 2:35 of the MudoCon. The bit where Lorne does the Alf voice. lol.
|
Oh awesome, I would love to see it sometime Pupbenny :)

Was it you who won the Abe, because you've got pictures of it on Twitter and stuff, but I'm sure MeechMunchie said they won it...... :
|
Then Crashpunk must have stolen it, because he took it home if I'm not mistaken.
Also anyone who had video footage of MudoCon please put it on Youtube! |
How long until we see some assets from native environments?

MM won it, but Chris got a T-shirt. They traded.

I wouldn't have minded the cutout, being a unique (signed!) item and all, but I'd have to a) take it home on the cramped London Underground, b) give awkward explainations to my parents, and then find both c) room and d) a suitable use* for a 5-foot video game character.
Factor in that I really like the Sekto Springs t-shirt and that Crash is more active in the fanbase than I am, and it was an easy decision. I did ask Crash what size he caught first, though. If anyone's curious, I had to answer Lorne's question "Who stitched Abe's lips together?" The answer, of course, is "Sam. His mother. Because he wouldn't stop crying." Mine was the only hand that went up. Me and Wil (I totally went round the expo with JAW for the last hour or so) later bumped into Crash and his friend trying, with some difficulty, to lug it down the crowded exhibition hall. I felt better for that. *More suitable than what we discussed with Crash. |
I still think that I had my hand up before that kid for the Latamire Munch question. I couldn't even steal the book off him because there were too many witnesses.
|
:
a) I couldn't see him from where I was because he was small and at the back of the audience. b) You couldn't see him either, he was almost directly behind you. c) That kid was probably utterly wowed by winning that book, whereas you'd already met me. d) His mum would have beaten us up. |
I was happy the kid got the book. Mainly because I already had one.
As I said on Facebook, I'm wearing my Oddworld t-shirt right now. Chris isn't wearing his cut-out. I think that constitutes a win. |
:) Meech, d'you think you could post pictures of the T-Shirt?
:
EDIT: By that I mean that by seeing all he's like god. Not he could see all and he could see god.... |
