If you don't at least love the energy in this, you've got something fucking wrong with you.

MeechMunchie 12-01-2011 08:54 AM

Do you like how I dance?
I've got zirconium pants!
Consequential enough
To slip you into a trance

Do you like how I walk?
Do you like how I talk?
Do you like how my face
Disintegrates into chalk?

I have a wonderful wife
I have a powerful job
She criticizes me for being egocentric

You practice your mannerisms
Into the wall
If this mirror were clearer
I'd be standing so tall

Mr. Bungle 12-01-2011 10:20 PM

One of the best hippity-hoppities in recent memory. Can't stop listening to these guys.

"They say I act white, but sound black
But act black, but sound white
But what's my sound bite supposed to sound like?"

AlexFili 12-02-2011 03:08 AM

Epic tune

MeechMunchie 12-03-2011 05:05 AM

Once again, it is time for me to inject some amateur accordion into this thread.

JennyGenesis 12-04-2011 02:21 AM

Corey Taylor found this hilarious

MeechMunchie 12-04-2011 04:34 AM

Nightwish - Walking in the Air

Mr. Bungle 12-07-2011 02:34 PM

A classic. Bought the full album for a dollar the other day. Great purchase.

Dixanadu 12-09-2011 09:35 PM

BRILLIANCE.

Ultimate closer to any album.

'Awake', fucking get it.

Mr. Bungle 12-10-2011 12:30 AM

Not ultimate closer to any album, Dix.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

Dynamithix 12-10-2011 01:07 AM

This is now one of my favourite songs.

I cannot begin to tell you how bored I am of hearing Moonlight Sonata. Here's the real stuff:

moxco 12-11-2011 05:57 PM

Where the hell do you here moonlight sonata enough to get bored of it? That's my my favourite movement of Estampes too.

First song reminds me somewhat of this, for some reason. It almost sounds as if Rachmaninoff was on acid when he composed it.

sligpatrol 12-12-2011 05:46 AM

SLIPKNOT

Dynamithix 12-12-2011 05:57 AM

You can definitely see that from your posts.

What the fuck? Hold on, Jardins is the second best movement:

That one got me hooked on Debussy.

That first movement of Moonlight Sonata is so commonly used it might as well be just known as stock music. Although I will admit to being bored by most of Beethoven's pieces. Many will not agree, but I do not think that he was one of the greatest composers to ever live.

Some of Rachmaninoff's stuff is fantastic. But if you found the Messiaen piece interesting, you should follow it up with the rest of the compositions which constitute "Catalogue d'Oiseaux". They are all piano arrangements of transcriptions he did of birdsong.

Mr. Bungle 12-12-2011 10:12 PM

Makes me proud to be a Canadian.

Ridg3 12-13-2011 04:44 PM

Corey Taylor should just leave Shiteknot and focus everything on Stone Sour.

Mr. Bungle 12-14-2011 05:42 PM

Just gettin into Sufjan Stevens. He's a fantastic songwriter. I've been missing out big time.

MA 12-15-2011 09:14 AM

fucking love this.

EDIT: these too.

MeechMunchie 12-15-2011 02:09 PM

still spacing out to this 15 years later

Also, a realistic love song! Love doesn't make life perfect. It just makes you bloody happy.

I look at you and say
It's the happiest I've ever been,
And I'll say I no longer feel that I have to be James Dean,
And she'll say "Yeah, well, I feel pretty happy too,
And I'm always pretty happy when I'm just kicking around with you."

Oh in five years time,
I might not know you.
In five years time,
We might not speak.
In five years time,
We might not get along.
But in five years time,
You might just prove me wrong.

MeechMunchie 12-19-2011 01:23 PM

Like pretty much everything involving cows, this song reminds me of MA.

STM 12-20-2011 09:55 AM

Fantastic music to accompany any sort of physical activity.

Very Led Zeppelin-ish, OJA.

Mr. Bungle 12-20-2011 05:53 PM

My favourite rendition of the Simpsons theme. I love Sonic Youth.

Guitar Watson was great. About all of the phrases he used to play captured precisely what would become typical of blues guitarists in the near future.
The great thing about him was that he died playing his music, apparantly mid-guitar solo, which I think reflects great on his attitude towards music.

Mr. Bungle 12-21-2011 10:13 PM

Classic ska punk.

Nepsotic 12-22-2011 05:49 AM

i dont know if anyones suggested this yet but NERO ALL THE FUCKING WAY

MeechMunchie 12-22-2011 10:51 AM

Yes, this is the actual guy who does this song.
