I've been vocal about my dislike of RDR's ending, but it is absolutely hacky to use literally the exact same ending for their next game. Protagonists sacrifice? Check. Saving two people through said sacrifice? Check. Spending a moronic amount of time and money focusing on making a single graphical aspect better rather then writing something credible? Check. It's lazy writing is what it is.

Tried to play the El Shaddai demo. The graphics are so fucking beautiful, it immediately reminded me of Okami, its one of the best looking games ever. It has some neat ideas, like stealing enemy weapons, but its so fucking cheap. The enemies all take forever to kill, and they constantly block your attacks, this wouldn't be so bad, if they weren't able to break your block so easily. The enemies also seem to be able to break out of your combos, something you can't do to them. It isn't even legitimate difficulty, its just poor game design. Im usually pretty good at action games, so I dont think its me. That said, Im going to try it again tomorrow, see if I like it more. Also, to look at it more.

Also, the main character looks like a queer.

Ok my impression of Mass Effect so far.

Non-combat: Awesome.

Combat: Walk into room, be ambushed and raped from all directions while all your guns jam and your squad dies within 2 seconds.

Seriously anoying.

C'mon, it's not that difficult.

Maybe I should pay more attention to what equipment I'm using, but I swear it happens all the time. I walk into a gunfight and before I even know what's going my squad mates are dead and my gun is jammed.

I thought ME2's combat was harder.

Today I bought six PS2 games from my friend for only a total price of 5€.

These games were Digimon World 4, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, Jak 3, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2 and Transformers. (The original one, not the movie license one.)

I'm playing Digimon World 4 now.

EDIT: Forgot one game, Samurai Jack: The Shadow of Aku.

Speaking of PS2 games, I've been working through Scaler because I could never beat the final boss when I was younger. It's a reasonable game. Everything works. The level design is quite good at points. The vine riding is nice and fast paced with a risk/reward thing in the electric bomb charging that can add to the excitement.

The worlds that you visit all have a theme and they stick well to it. It mostly feels like you're moving through a natural environment and not over a fuck lot of inexplicable platforms.

The transformation mechanic could be good. Sadly, you can only transform in the world you learnt 2 transformations. The other 3 have 2 worlds that you can transform in.

The game's full of good ideas that haven't been properly developed.

I hope to get the Duke this weekend.

Has anyone got it yet? It's apparently out today.

It's good, but not amazing. As if it could be anything else after 14 years. But in a way, its outdated cultural references and old-school gameplay are its strength. It's as '90s an experience as you could hope for.

Good? Wouldn't exactly call it that to be honest. I want to but from the looks of the first hour, it seems really boring.

Oh, forgot to mention, I got DJ Hero 2 today! It's setlist is a bit weaker than DJ Hero 1's but still pretty awesome.

Digging the new 'Empire' story mode. Can't wait to unlock deadmau5 as a character, fuck yeah!

Dj hero 2 has pon de floor and that's pretty much all the reason you need to buy it.

Also I just finished grinding up a full set of PvP epics for my priest, only to discover that it'll be near-obsolete when patch day rolls around next week. Hah. Glad I did it on the side when I could be bothered rather than tried hard. This game is such a waste of time.

God the save system in Mass Effect is annoying. Surely it can auto save a little more frequently instead of just at the start of every mission.

I've been trying out DJ Hero 2's online mode and it's ok but I hate those fucking Power decks that give you the ability to gain a bigger score multiplier than the opponent. It's fucking unfair.

Seeing the E3 stuff about Revelations made me go out and buy Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Blasted through the main storyline over the weekend and enjoyed the hell out of it. Now I've gotta go back for the extra missions.

Played Duke Nukem Forever with a friend.

It's basically Bulletstorm but uglier with less interesting levels, design, plot, weapons... oh, and it's really fucking unfunny.

I've been playing Minecraft, Oddworld Quintology games (including Abe's Exoddus), and Paintball 2.

I've been trying to build a huge rail-road, but it is hard finding gold to make powered ones.

Maybe I can make Fee Co. Depot.

I'm also working on a couple of maps for Paintball 2.

Aye. Having to drive all over the fucking place on Noveria, go inside, and get raped by Geth...then driving there all over again.

Auto-save is very frequent in the second one, though.

I'm playing ME2 now, I like how you can import your char from the previous game and actually continue the story you created. I left Kaiden to die, would be stupid if he suddenly turned up again.

I got fallout new vegas and it's pretty much as good as everyone says it is.

So it's buggy and awful?

I must have a completely different type of Xbox 360, one where there are no bugs and one that doesn't RROD. As I'm seemingly the only person this has never happened to.

I beat AC: Brotherhood. I didn't pay any attention to the first game and I haven't played the second one so I didn't understand the ending at all. Other than that, it was a very good game and very enjoyable. I'd give it a 9/10.

Also, I got myself some Micro$oft Points a while ago and I bought Duke Nukem 3D. (About time!)

I had to do the tutorial mission 3 times due to me clipping into solid objects. I then had to do it a 4th because for some fucking stupid reason a cazador spawned and killed me in one hit. That was almost enough for me to put it down and not pick it up again.

I've played a bit of the way through it siding with Caesar's Legion. It's had it's ups and downs but it's generally worse than Fallout 3.

You bitch. Kaidan was remotely cool for a human character.

Don't worry, he won't show up. His death is officially canon in your story, Ashley will appear instead. Plus, extra dialogue + angsty e-mail if you were in a romance with her.

Yeah, get Limbo. One of the best downloadable games I've played. Way worth the 1200, plus you don't know when it's gonna go on sale - could not be for a while.

I'll wait. It was on sale in December so yeah, it'll take some time but now I have to beat Duke Nukem 3D, DJ Hero 2 and AC: Brotherhood's side missions.
