Didn't have the time to check in earlier, but the site is looking better and better, nice work Stew!
|
Yeah, I agree. It's amazing how much the purple sides create a real Oddworldy feel.
|

No relation. |
Well, I think that anyone has commented anything about this but, I remember that it used to be a download section on the old Oddworld.com site. You could download some music for the first game and other multimedia content. I would suggest a new download section with free content such as wallpapers (new ones please) music, videos or similar.

I'd say!
well anyways dont expect me to be smart :) |
Trust me, I don't any expectations for you.
|
I think you missed a word out there, Mr. Insult-our-intelligence.
|

And also a download section would be nice, like "I Oddworld" said. |
It needs a virtual thermometer that rises with JAW and Oddworld's progress. Not necessary their progress in development of old or new products, or anything, really. But it should be implied to be such.
If there's one thing this community is deficient in, it's confusion and patient expectation for imminent news. |
Looks like it's down again :(
Maybe this means news!? *anxious face* |

And it's back up...
I really wonder what made that site crash twice. I thought WordPress would be more reliable than that. |
If their website crashes like that then how about their games?
|
Their games won't be powered by WordPress or PHP.
|
WordPress and PHP are relatively easy to use. If they can't handle even those, it doesn't give me very shiny picture of their skills.
|
Because if you have skills you can totally do anything.

Remember that we are talking about 'professional' game developer team.
|
:
|
"profecional" means that they know more about us than what they are doing. they don't have to know anything about stuff they aren't doing. and i really doubt that the game programmers had anything to do with building the site.
Furthermore, i am great at using pcs or solving all kinds of problems. and part of my work is to do just that. However, i have very little idea how to use a mac. By your way of thinking, i should be great at using windows and macos because if i'm not good at one of them, i can't be good at either |
I have a suggestion:
It would be cool if the site had a diary of sorts that let fans in on the development of Stranger's Wrath for the PS3. |
:
You should use Linux |

Just being little pessimistic.
|
The appropriate response to my post is "You're one to talk", or something similar.
|
:
Have you ever thought about writing a book about dealing with internet trolls? You're obviously better at effectively "pwning" yourself than any of us peons ever will be. |
:
You would think the site would be better built. But they're a small team right, so I can understand if the site sometimes stuffs up because they're primarily a game developer team, probably with less experience at web design. I don't really care as long as the Oddworld games turn out good :D If the site has a few minor technical issues, who cares? |

You tell em Havoc

I would like to see a little daiary updated daily with minor comments about the work progress; maybe not something really important, some funny comments will be more than enought.
|
I would prefer that they work on the game rather than spend time thinking about what to tell the fans.

I need daily odd updates:fuzvamp: |
So you essentially want a JAW twitter account?
Try these: http://twitter.com/AbeMudokon/ http://twitter.com/stewartgilray http://www.formspring.me/stewartgilray |
